Can remember the noise from our fans last 15 minutes and when we scored it was amazing. Great memories.

I'm probably unique amongst Palace supporters that day, in that I was sitting with the Sheffield United fans. I hadn't got tickets for the game but I had a contact in the company that then sponsored United, and he got me tickets for myself, wife and two young daughters. As it turned out, we were right behind Hopkin, albeit about a hundred yards away. We unobtrusively celebrated when he scored, but my main memory (which most of you obviously didn't see) is of seeing the Palace end erupt. When the final whistle went, a couple of United supporters were angrily shouting, in their Yorkshire accent, "lucky b******s", but on the whole they were very nice to my two young girls (wearing Palace jerseys). I recall that on the tube back I chatted to one of their supporters about that useless centre forward (can't remember his name - Taylor?) who we sold to them. As others have said, can't believe how long ago that was. How depressing. I'm now a grandfather.

I wouldn't call it our DNA. I'd call it playing to your strengths. With wilf and Bolasie/townsend we play best as a fast counter attacking team. Problem is that this is the only way we win games, and more and more sides are stopping our wingers, particularly at home and we have no real plan B. We desperately need a couple more technically good midfielders, so that we can keep the ball and play through the middle at times. You can't be successful just playing the one way.
