Look at Victorian England and how many people went to watch people be hung . However put all that aside for one moment when there are people in families and communities who are suspicious of people but afraid to speak up or harbouring people with these kinds of views and radical leanings maybe something shocking like this plants an image in their head and might make then wake up and alert someone . I'm not sure I see the logic in showing shocking details of a mass murder making somebody more likely to report an individual they suspect of terrorism. Even ignoring the above logic, does the effect of pummeling the public (including children who will see this stuff on facebook/twitter etc.) with gory details and images of mass murder not need to be taken into account? There is always more we can do to stop this kind of thing, but it has to be weighed up against the wellbeing of victims, family and the wider public. More so, the above explanation is not why papers churn out this stuff. It's for a few extra quid. Was reading about the outright harassment an individual and his family received whilst his brother was missing following a recent terror attack, all to get a bit more detail to sell a few papers. How these people sleep at night I will never know.

In a word yes. Yes, I fully agree. Just how many kids need to be blown to pieces for the apologists to admit that there is a serious problem.

At the very least anyone who went to Syria and fought with ISIS should be locked up. They are fighting for our enemies yet we let them walk our streets. Is absolutely ridiculous.

How these people sleep at night I will never know. Morals seem to go flying out the window when it comes to newspapers and media in general. I take on board your points. In that case is it simply a case , in the instance of the daily mail today, they are printing these highly charged headlines and accounts to stoke up the simmering tensions ? Wasn't a mosque attacked the other day in or near Manchester. This kind of reporting can go the other way in terms of adding fuel to the fire of people who want to target Islam in some way. And actually having thought on this it could also been deemed as dangerous. How many would be attackers are looking at it and reading these headlines and positively revelling in all the details Edited by Michaelawt85 (25 May 2017 2.25pm) Edited by Michaelawt85 (25 May 2017 2.28pm)
