Very good question. Id like to keep him here as Assistant Manager for the sake of continuity. If Big Sam has truly retired then am sure he'd be up for it.

Would be great if a new manager would keep Sammy - and maybe our other new coaching staff - rather than yet another mass clear out which can only further unsettle the players. Hopefully will all be resolved quite quickly. Anyone fancy Claudio as manager?

If Big Sam has genuinely retired then I wish him all the best. I have seen some speculation on this board about his health and certainly hope that there is nothing sinister there. However, I have a sneaky feeling that he's heading to Sunderland and if so I will be making wax models of him and nipping out to the shops to buy long, sharp pins! With regard to Little Sam I am desperate to keep him. Several of the players have mentioned how much they enjoy training under him and, as another poster has said, we need to keep some sort of continuity. Edited by eaglesally (24 May 2017 2.07pm)
