I only thought "we are safe" when Luka scored the pen against Hull. Until then, I thought we could well go down.

I am sick of fellow holers simply sniping at Willo every time he posts, and often the same boring troll line. For what it's worth, I've spent the entire season convinced we'd go down. I'm not apologising for that, I'm thrilled we've got a historic 5th year. If we start next year with the bad luck we've had this, I'll be convinced we'll go down next year too. What bad luck? One left back? Little fitness training? Blasé attitude to defending? Not bothered about clean sheets? Not interested in a draw on our travels, again and again, so the more that happens the more desperate for 3 points? Done again v Man Utd? Being a fit midfielder down? The same position of 2 we were stretched in last season? Bringing in a winger to replace a left winger, only to find there is an issue with him playing on the left. Yep, we had loads of bad luck.

Well done Willo. I can see why you attract so much stick, but the board would be a lesser place without your posts. I think you just look on things as a glass half empty rather than half full, and I think a lot of older Palace supporters have that ingrained in them. After all it always seems to goes wrong when you think there are good times ahead. My advice would be, you can't do anything about it. So enjoy the good times and if they are bad get Mrs Willo to put the lingerie on, to give you something else to think about!

Attention seeker much. WILLO?! Absolutely NOT. This is as risible an allegation as the comments made to the affect that I would be pleased to see us relegated so I could joyfully claim I was right with all that " I told you so" hogwash. I have been proved wrong so I just thought I would hold my hands up and say so. At the end of the day I am not too proud to admit my mistakes. I have said my bit and nothing more to add.

Yet here we are 4 days on and no-one called you out to state you got it wrong, so you decide to start a thread. As much as you ask for things to not be turned into a Willo thread, you invite the attention and, I would wager, derive a certain amount of pleasure form it. Yes, you were wrong, I was wrong as well - as I thought we'd need something from Man U as far back as December, but I didn't feel the need to broadcast my opinion - or call attention to it again when no-one else did. And, for the love of god, give those bloody inverted commas a rest.

I get your point that our poor season had a lot to do with Pardew. However, for me, circumstances continually conspired against us. Just when a player started playing well he would get injured (such as Tomkins against Liverpool and Sakho against Spuds, not Pardew in those cases). Why could it not have been someone else who didn't matter as much. The run of games with nearly all our last games counting for both teams, whilst our rivals got games against teams already on the beach. Refereeing decisions going against us at decisive times in matches. I know teams make there own luck to some extent and we shouldn't have been in the position we were it just seemed to me that the gods were conspiring to send us down (probably with the blessing of the FA).

This would have come much sooner but he's only just got over his hangover from Brighton's open top bus parade Anyway, 'fair play' Willo. I 'disagree' with what you say 'regularly' but the forums would be less interesting without your 'input'. Edited by Alex1991 (18 May 2017 6.04pm)

Come on guys; he's apologised unconditionally. Can't we leave it at that and move on? I know Willo 'has his ways' (oops, sorry) and annoys a number of posters, but he's put his hands up on this one.
