Defoe maybe but it's time we stopped looking in the relegated players market. It's we truly want to move to the next level we should only buy players better than what we currently have. If we could only bring in 3 players I would bring in a gk, rb and Sakho.

We already have Connor Wickham as backup to Benteke Who may not stay injury free. Also if Benteke got injured this season we would have been relegated. We need 3 strikers min.

Kirchoff and Kone stand out for me. Both were stand out performers under Big Sam at Sunderland. I'd take Defoe on a years contract. He wants to go to the world cup, so will have something to prove and is already a proven goal scorer even at 34.

I like Defoe, but would prefer Negredo. Slightly younger but therefore possibly more costly. The only thing in my mind is that I could see Defoe being a perfect fit for newly promoted Brighton so it'd be good to rob them of that option.

Hello all, Looking at the 3 relegated teams, there could be an opportunity to improve our squad with some shrewd buys. Do you think any of the following players could improve our squad depth or even be starters.
Hull Sunderland Thoughts? No thanks to any of them.

No thanks to any of them. Dann and MacArthur were from relegated teams. So was Wardy. PVA's team was going to go down.

Hull Sunderland Thoughts? Traore, Negredo, Kone, Defoe and Pickford are the only ones that I think could improve the squad. The others are a waste of time. It's a shame Swansea stayed up as there are a couple from them that would be okay.

Something that crosses my mind is that apart from trying to secure Sakho, I don't think we need to make any big money signings. Yeah we're weak in a few places but I actually think we have a top half squad at this moment. If it was a toss up between trying to keep our current squad together or spending the money on replacements, I'd be happier with the former.

IMO Palace have a big problem with their youth policy. You need fit younger players to be pushing for places but I don't see any for us since Wilfrid. That means paying 10 millions for an average player who wants to do that.

I thought he was disappointing on Sunday. It's probably not the sort of game to make a judgement on him and I haven't seen him play before but I wasn't at all impressed, he looked over weight as well. He was playing full back against wilf. Much better as a centre half. Won their player of the year.

Edin Jakupovic as replacement for Mandanda, forget Pickford, we aren't going to spend £25m on a keeper.
