Quality player. Good enough to start for lower prem teams so a very, very good back up to Benteke for us. Trick will be to keep him match fit and happy with limited game time.

Conner Wickham has bulked out enormously since he arrived at Palace, compare images of him in 2012 and 2016 and the difference in muscle definition is considerable . I would assume that this a result of a lot of time in the gym on weights, this may have played a part in his fitness.

Class act IMO. Has the lot and if the teams buzzing when he plays we'll see the best of him.

I don't think his frame/natural core strength is sufficient to support his bulk which is why he is prone to injury.

Still not a proven goalscorer. plays a handful of games and then gets injured for months on end...when he is fit he never makes the starting 11 because of his china doll syndrome. Every club has one (Andy Carroll / Theo Walcott etc) you can chat about a 24yr old who has "potential" til the cows come home but that's how I view him and others of a similar ilk. A waste of a squad number.

He didn't have a history of injuries before he came to us and whilst he seemed to suffer a few in succession his latest long term injury is the sort of thing that could happen to anyone and indeed everyone's favourite Glenn Murray suffered the same injury that kept him out for months

I just think players who miss big chunks of every season due to injury should just be moved on as you can't rely on them, unfortunately Connor falls into this bracket.
