Absolutely not but BFS has always been a one trick pony . His reputation as a relegation specialist proves that.

What? He managed Bolton in the top 8 and pretty much since then he's managed clubs with budgets in the bottom 3rd. Or do you still judge football the same as 30-40 years ago? He's never been relegated.

Or do you prefer tactics outside of players' capabilities like Pardew? No number 10, no left back, passing it about the back 4 with no purpose only for Delaney to whacki it 50 yards to one man marked by 2 or 3?

We've had 3 sure things now, although Pardew's effect runs out after a year and regresses, badly. You either go with these or or go for your Gary Rowett's or Karanka. Silva will e snapped up.

So what's your preference?

Always like to see what the other fans think of their chances :

"Palace played with practically 4 fullbacks in defence today
There is hope in the sense their defence is ****ed for the rest of the season"

"Palace were an absolute shambles today defensively and that's not just because they were playing Manchester City (who actually threw away several chances)."

Looks like they are relying on the fact that our defence looked shambolic today. Need a proper line up next week.

They are probably thinking, "They have to beat us so they will be all out."

All I have said is he only knows one style of play and when it does not work it is never his fault. Most managers are the same but BFS is rather limited in his tactical adaptability.

The only team he got relegated was Notts County in his first Managerial job. I would hardly think he is a specialist, as never been relegated since.

Do you not think he has a different tactic/tweak towards the opposition with a limited squad to select from, as opposed to Pardew who just used Zaha and Bolasie and Pulis who frustrates the other team into points?

Do you not hear the slight tweaks he's instructed to limit them and get us chances too? Maybe they're not good enough to take in 2 or 3 v better oppo, or oppo worth £400 mil or whatever.

We lost to Man City FFS and with a knackered team and 1 lost it CB with another who requires a decent partner the inferior virus spread through the team vs a 7 day fresh Burnley whereas it was our 3rd game in 6 days.

I think you will find BFS has never had a plan b in his entire carear When we beat Liverpool and Arsenal he stated he knew the weaknesses in both those teams and he was blowing his own trumpet on how he was able to set up the players to beat them. After our defeat to Burnley all he said was they defended well. . What he really meant was that he has no idea how to break down a team who defends and plays counter attacking football like us. Today he played a defence that if we had got something after the game he would have said that he played thatvwayvbecause he knew their weaknesses. Instead he said we lost because the players were poor and presented them the goals. Why could he just not say my plan did not work ? It is easier to blame others rather than himself.
I guess all managers are like this nothing is ever as a result of what they have done. I just wish they could be honest. Anyway when we win next week against hull it will be interesting to hear what the reason was for the win. I bet it will be all down to him.
Rant over COYP

Back to slagging off 'BFS' then Brinscal, didn't think it would take long. How about referring him to SAM it would be so lovely! Let's face it you have been anti him from the day he was appointed.
Now onto our current position..... Tell me how many managers in the PL who could continue the playing style and with it performances that have seen us beat Chelsea ( champions in waiting), Liverpool and Arsenal with losing 3 centre backs and our pivotal attacking midfield player in Cabaye. This has basically severely weakened the heart of the team. We are hanging on and how you can blame Sam for not having a plan B defies belief. What players can he bring in, you tell me? By the way we played Man City away today who are currently 4th. We will I believe limp over the line........literally!

Swansea will hockey Sunderland.

Swansea will also get at least a point from West Brom.

Therefore......

Its us or Hull for the drop. And we need not hope that ''other results go our way''

it is all in our own hands ( our own talons ) .

Mathematically we have 6 chances to stuff hull (or Palace survive).

1.Us to beat hull at Selhurst,
2 us to draw hull at Selhurst
3 hull to draw against Tottenham
4 hull to lose against tottenham
5 us to get a point at Old Trafford ( qualified good result, depending on Swansea losing a game )
6 us to get a win at old trafford

just one of the above and Hull are goosed. They cannot catch us.

Mathematically to pass us out.. Hull need...
1. beat us at Selhurst and then also.....
1a. hull to beat a lazy tired and demotivated Tottenham.
while , simultaneously Palace get nothing against a tired, injured , distracted ManUre B team at Old Trafford.

The reason i love this team is simple, we never do things the easy way.

Palace to survive. Eagles !!!!!!
