Spurs play Leicester away on the Thursday before playing Hull. Wouldn't rely on other teams doing us a favour now.

Today we went from needing to beat Hull to needing a draw. Not bad considering we got stuffed 5-0. Couldn't have put it better. I suppose we'll all fret until we are safe, and once that happens we'll probably hope to finish a little higher, etc. After today, we are better off in our fight for survival. Not worse off. The other teams are running out of games.

Sunderland have done us a big favour. Hull now have to beat us and WBA... As for Swansea, today's result is a kick in the teeth but they still have to beat Sunderland. For me, the dream is that Chelsea drop points and Spurs can win it on the last day somehow. Either way, Swansea or Hull are still worse off. Sunderland can do us another favour, they have finally won a game and they have a home match to apologise to their fans with a win next week. They will have Zero nerves whereas Swansea will be bricking it. We are still in the best position and we still have control over our own destiny. We could be safe before kick off next weekend. All we have to do next weekend is draw with hull to stay up surely palace can do that but the way this season has gone for us I wouldn't bet on it hull will have to win which means their have to go for it and leave space at the back

That's the spirit. And even if we lose, they still have to beat Spurs. And if they did and we go down... Spurs get Wilf on the cheap... Also Swansea playing West Brom last day... can't imagine Pulis will be trying hard if it means sending Parishs Palace down... We must get a point against Hull.

Sunderland's 3 points ought to lift our players this week on the training ground, just don't hope they play with "high shoulders" before a sell-out Selhurst. As they unfortunately do some time, but hey - we'll do it the Palace way....

Firstly, at the start of April if you said we'd be in a position where a point against Hull would keep us up I would have snapped your hand off. Also, I predicted that Sunderland, now relegated, would play without fear and get points. I actually wouldn't be at all surprised if they beat Swansea on Saturday. Next week we're bound to have at least one or maybe two influential players back. I'm actually feeling pretty positive. The Hull defeat today is huge for them. That is, in reality, not going to happen. It's how we use what we do have that's going to count and if we put together the shambles we did against Man City we're going to be in big trouble.

Let's hope that one of our injured CBs is declared fit to play. However, is there no one in our Development Squad who can step up to the mark ? We cannot have a repeat of the shambles against City with players hopelessly lost whilst playing out of position. The obvious answer is to look to our returning loan players but Exeter City have made the Play Offs so Luke Croll will no doubt be staying on with them. Ryan Inniss (our 6ft 5inches twenty one year old CB) was once tipped as a future first team player for the Eagles and he may be back from his loan at Southend. If so and he is fit, why not give him a go ? It appears that we have some young players with potential at CB who may see the Hull game as the one that could help them make their name at the Club. Let's not forget a certain Jim Cannon who made his debut on 31 March 1973 aged 19 years in a pressure game against Chelsea at Selhurst Park which we won 2-0. Jim scored the second goal and went on to become a Palace Legend making 660 appearances. Failing that we may have to play Ward alongside Kelly as the CBs - many fans seem to feel that both are suited to the role.
