And weirdy beardies with their frapplappacinos (this may or may not be based on my inability at the age of 52 to grow facial hair)

I've got a beard. If I didn't I'd look like I'm 15. Irony really, I now look like a paedophile but if I didn't have the beard I could hang out with 15 year old girls and no one would even notice.

I've strayed from the point haven't I?

It's the rise of the abomination known as the "new man". Almost always sporting a wispy beard and describing himself as a "blogger".

Bloggers are what's wrong with society. Too many people seem to think that opinions have any real meaning. Blogging is for people who aren't talented enough to be a writer. Its like describing every frustrated 14 year old expressing their first unrequited love as being a poet.

I have no time for bloggers. Most of the people who subscribe to blogs, are other bloggers. Its a massive circle jerk of similar simpletons who can't cope with life.

Correct for 10 points. People think that once their opinion is on the internet (where literally ANY idiot can post their opinion) it somehow sets it in stone as gospel. Although some people believe it actually is gospel and quote it like it is when they get into an argument.

That's just my opinion though, and its appearance here does not make it fact

I tnink we have a similar problem with gender issues as with so called race.
Our society is so obsessed with equality that it has lost sight of reality.

Women have been given a bad deal in the past and among some cultures still are but the problem with the desire to do the right thing is that it often puts those who are the target of good intentions on a pedestal and largely beyond reproach. In the case of women, men have always fallen over themselves to gain their favour and this usually means pandering to the them informally and in terms of women's perceptions of equality.

Now it is frowned upon to look at pictures of busty women or express overt feelings about a woman's appearance for example, where as similar expressions are positively encouraged by women in the media and advertising. In the work place fear or giving the appearance of being sexist is now widespread but normally only in one direction.

The bottom line is that men need to be men but perhaps what it means to be a man has changed largely for the better. What does need to be addressed is the idea that women can use their new freedoms and power to act as badly as the worst men. The honeymoon period for equalisation has got to end in both gender and race issues and genuine equality and the responsibility that comes with it must begin. Equality should never be designed to give advantage to or overlook the misdemeanours of one group and effectively create inequality for another. I also think we all need to regain our sense of humour and perspective in some areas without resorting to the totally insulting condescending. That was never good.

That was meaningless.

I saw a TV show once that predicted that we'd all eventually end up androgynous and ugly. I feel like I'm way ahead of my time.

Isn't that called getting old. Sex life fades, your body shape becomes more 'undefined' and you become more and more repulsive to yourself and others.

Anyway, on the flip side TV shows and films such as 300, Vikings, Game of Thrones etc have at least resurrected the idea that real men ought to have beards and walk about swinging their d*cks.

Its worth noting that the 'dick swingers' in Game of Thrones are for the most part dead. The main candidates of power are the Milf Queen villian, a Hot young blonde, a chaste emo kid, his cripple half brother, his rape victim sister, a horney midget and a bloke with a girlfriend.

The only dick swinger left is a bloke who f**ks his sister, and a icy looking bloke who seems more interested in necrophilia than hot birds.

Vikings - All I can say is Lagatha really f**king does it for me. Shield maidens are sexy as f**k.

300 couldn't be more homoerotic if they were all having sex with each other

I don't watch any of them. I have developed my alpha masculinity by copying Joe Ledley. He's rather dishy.

And no, it wasn't about developing into ugly androgynous people within one generation. From an evolutionary point of view the human race is getting uglier and harder to distinguish between male and female. Still, a mouth's a mouth eh?

I think its more about where and how you look at pictures of busty women. Turns out, not everyone is comfortable with being subjected to that. Personally, I tend to do my sexualisation of women and perusal of busty women in private. Similarly, I try not to comment on the appearance of women too much in public. I don't really see the need for my commentary to be relevant.

I think that the 'reverse sexism' popularity will wear off somewhat once women realise that its being used to sell them sh8t they don't really want, and realise its just them being patronised.
