3 games in 6 days. We were knackered today. If we'd had the same rest they had that game would have been completely different. Physically and mentally we were drained.

We will beat Hull !

If Swansea lose tomorrow they have to win all 3 games. Incredibly unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.

No wonder I'm grey and balding, after 58years seeing
so many failures as against success, did someone drive over a ch..aman on the way to the match.
9 points from unlikely sources, and yet they cant do simple job when they really need to.
I really hope 38pts are enough because it could be all we get now.............. from a very despondent lifeline supporter half a world away. PS did come over for/to the Cup Final last May so don't rate me harshly for my sadness.

They ALL looked so sh1t against Burnley that the positive for me is that they must have been genuinely fatigued and physically and mentally ill-prepared. They ALL looked so good against Chelsea, Arse and Spuds that I think/hope that with a good prep and rest they can reproduce their usual good form against our last few opponents. As one sunny day does not make a summer so one gloomy day does not make a winter. Before Burnley we were all confident that their form was simply too good not to pick up points. So, I'm not getting carried away by their Burnley form. Thank goodness we already have 38 points! I think that after a solid week's prep that we'll give city a game and be good to go for Hull and Utd.

Funny thing is Sunderland could turn around and do the nasty now they are down........cuz they can play with no fear of losing.........fingers crossed.

Good point. I posted on another thread a couple of weeks ago that I've made good money in the past betting on the 'post-relegation bounce' that often happens. Let's hope, eh Lindz?

After Utd they will play 3 teams with nothing to play for in Everton Sunderland and WBA so could win all 3. If we only draw with Hull that wont be enough for us also 2 draws and 2 wins will do the trick for them if we lose to Hull

I think any team who has not got 40 points and a healthy goal difference will be looking anxiously at Old Trafford today and also feel that work needs to be done. Many teams look like they are on holiday, Soton, WBA, Stoke, Sunderland and look like gifts. We have 3 games with teams who will likely have something to play for, 2 of the the top 6. Looks likely we will need to win against Hull unless there are a few unexpected results. Looking at their game against Soton, Soton were dreadful but might of easily won with a composed penalty. Hopefully the longer rests between games will help and produce a much better performance than yesterday. Desperately need some metal at the back in the middle. May have to change formation/personnel as that was cruelly exposed yesterday. COYP !!

Bar Swansea winning all their remaining games, beat Hull and we’re safe. That’s by no means a given, knowing Palace and what’s the betting for the Hull game we’ll get given a certain referee whose surname begins with C, ends with g and has three syllables, so he has one last chance to scr3w us over. He’s already ref’d West Brom v Hull and Arsenal v Hull this season and he’s only had one of our games so far. It’s written.

If your talking about clattenberk, he did his last game in this country yesterday. So, he won't be around.
