Not sure about last night but he gets beaten too easily from distance. He is not a good Premier League number one.

For me this is a position that definitely needs to be upgraded in the summer. Steve was an upgrade but unfortunately it hasn't worked. Begovic for me.

Wayne has appeared more confident of late and he did have a great game at Chelsea, making a number of important saves.

However, he has been well protected by a much improved defence in the last few games. Arsenal didn't have a shot on target in the second half; Liverpool had only one in the entire game and he let that in. Against Leicester he got hands to Vardy's shot but it still went in. And in my opinion no Premiership quality keeper should be beaten from the distance from which the Spurs goal was hit. The lad falls rather than taking sidesteps and springing and it didn't actually go right in the corner.

As was shown with the goal at Stoke, he is rooted to the line and rarely narrows the angle.

It looks as if we have got away with it this year, but if we stay up it is in spite of our goalkeeoer, not because of him and an upgrade is a number one priority!

I've only seen it live, not on tv and from my view in block D it looked like a perfectly placed goal. Not something that Wayne could have got to but something a defender or midfielder should not have given him space for.

Still think we need a new number 1 keeper next season though.

If we had closed Erickson down quicker then no shot but as for whether he should have saved it. I've only seen it live and I'd say no but people who saw it on TV say yes. I guess he should have!

I still think we need a no 1 in the summer.

Unfortunately it seems he has delayed reflexes for distance shots and weak hands. He managed to get 2 hands to Vardy's and didn't push it wide.

It's ashame because he like all of the team since Sam come in has improved dramatically, and in a game where it's a backs to the walls job like Chelsea, he shows his value by being big and being in the way of close range efforts.

We're aiming to grow as a club though and whilst I'm sure we'll still be shutting up shop at games like Chelsea away, there are going to be more and more that we are trying to win.

Make no mistake, on Wednesday night we were going toe to toe with Tottenham and trying to beat them. Sam doesn't sacrifice defense or the '1 point' but he does set out more attacking in different scenarios.

He saw Tottenham as winnable after the fine form and the fact it was a freebie with us being on 38 points. These are the games that are going to happen more and more as hopefully we aren't in a relegation battle next season and Sam wants to aim for higher places. These are the games your keeper will get one or two scorchers fired at him because the defense hasn't closed down and we need to know that 9 times out of 10 he's going to be a difference maker.

If Wayne saves the Erickson shot, it doesn't go down as routine, it goes down as a world class save and wins us a point - this is what Speroni was doing in his prime. Unlucky for Wayne, the life of a Goalkeeper dictates if he does save it it's a worldie save, if he doesn't, he should have got to it.

Watched it over and over. Wayne should have saved it.

Agreed. Wayne is not a Premier League Keeper. To slow getting down lacks bottle. Has been better last few months but still not good enough.

It was a strange one -

- he didn't seem to be in a particularly bad starting position

- he seemed to react reasonably quickly once the shot was off

- the shot was well placed but not particularly powerful

yet even at full stretch (and he's a big guy) he didn't get anywhere near it

I think he had far more of a case to answer for the Vardy goal, where he got there but failed to keep it out

Ok I'm not 100% sure he should have saved it, but he should have gotten a hand to it, and maybe saved it. His positioning seemed suspect, as he was directly behind the only obstructing player, and thus prevented himself from a) seeing it early b) reacting sooner.

Sometimes you get a hand to a shot like that, and it still goes in, but you should be getting something on it.

Hennessey isn't terrible, but he's not very good either, even compared to some of the teams facing relegations goal keepers.

You are blaming Hennessey but what about the defending by Schlupp ? Allowed Vardy to turn far too easily and get his shot off. At the end of the day one has to question the defensive capabilities of Schlupp.

In terms of the Huth goal, I feel Hennessey maybe could have come for the ball instead of standing on his line.

When I think of the goals he has conceded - The free kick by Townsend at Newcastle, The Vardy goal, the Erikson goal on each occasion he has been beaten on his right side. Will think about some of the other goals he has conceded to see if there is a pattern that has been formed.
