I disagree. I have voted UKIP and do not have an opinion on the burka. I see both sides on this, particularly defending the British tradition of freedom and a ban on clothing would be anti that. Don't be so prejudiced against people whom you oppose. It's not all black and white, Seconded. The burka is a terrible thing but I'm not sure what a free society should do about it. It's part of the incompatibility that certain interpretations of this religion has with western secular values. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Apr 2017 11.49am)

If a man looks funny at a western woman they go into meltdown but they are quite happy for Muslim women to be hidden away for the sake of religious tolerance and simply to oppose the Right.

What makes me laugh is EDL types with faces covered arguing about the burka. .....Agree, but when asked to remove them they will. Ask someone to remove their Burqa & It is 'Islamaphobia' It is very common to see signs here that when entering a Deli, Bank Etc to remove your Hoody, Crash Helmet etc 'Its the LAW' but no mention of the Burqa.

I see it daily & when I head out in a few minutes I'll see it again. I can never understand why people would emigrate to the USA yet make their wives wear the burqa. There is absolutely no assimilation of these women from the Yemen.

Having spent much of the morning mooching around Dunton boot fair, I wish a few more people (both men and women) would wear burkas.

The burka issue is just another of the long list of issues raised by the problems inherent in mass immigration and multi-culturalism.

There are certain parts of Wales where I would welcome the Burkha. It would promote social progression to disguise some of the purported females on the fringes of Wrexham, Caernarfon and Newport. The only problem is there would be more accidents as they wouldn't be able to see their feet due to their muffin tops, prams and then Burkha on top.

I reckon the vast majority of women who wear the full burka would love it to be banned. Only the crazies/brainwashed/fearful of harassment wouldn't. Edited by Kermit8 (23 Apr 2017 3.52pm)

I do feel sorry for the United Kingdom as I did grow up their fifty years ago and when I traveled to London a little while ago and haven't been their in a long while, what the hell has happened you might as well be in Delhi. What the people of that former Christian country must be thinking that have all moved out to Essex etc and Kent and before Gusset etc jumps on the band wagon I have many friends from all around the world off all colours . Third World country's bring Third World problems.
