Thought he had a poor game and to be honest was glad we didn't give him a chance to make a big decision in front of the Kop as the game came to an end .

Two years ago he thought it was enough of a penalty to award it in the 94th minute. Now it's a dive?

No two incidents are identical in every shape or form and the referees positioning and sight lines can be different as well.
Also at times Assistants get involved and others they do not depending on how far they are from the incident.

He gave them 3 minutes extra they didn't deserve. Ironically, as the game wound down, I thought we were more likely to score!

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Didn't blow in front of the Kop when Kelly clipped Coutinho's foot about 10 yards out.

I'll forgive him the harsh yellow on Benteke and the lack of a straight red for that deliberate assault on Tomkins late on.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

These two incidents weren't identical. In today's incident there actually was contact.

The 6 minutes stoppage time came as a result of the Tomkins foul/injury. On another day that could very well could have worked in Liverpool's favor but Palace played particularly well although Tomkins was clearly not able to play his normal role. In that situation, I think Marriner should have checked Tomkins condition before deciding which card to issue. Red is justified for deliberate attempt to injure and given the cynical nature of that foul a sending off would have been justified.

Just seen Niasse getting sent off for Hull yesterday on MoTD. Similar challenge but not as severe. If that's a red, so was this one.

Thought he had a good game overall, but with some mistakes. His worst was booking Benteke for the non-dive, which was sheer guesswork. The penalty claim when Kelly clipped Coutinho was marginal and it would have been a harsh call if he had given it. It looks like the luck with penalties is running our way at last. We're not getting them, but they're not being given against us either - we were lucky to get away with the Townsend handball at Chelsea. We did get the Arsenal pen which looked 100% at first sight - although Cluttenfunt would have booked Townsend for a dive.

Personally I thought it was a nailed on pen and we were lucky to get away with it. Can't for the life of me see why Coutinho doesn't go down (fair play to him that he didn't) If he does, its a pen all day long. We get angry when players go down easily but if they don't you end up with situations like this.

I thought the officials had a pretty decent game. Few mistakes, but let the game flow.

I was more annoyed the Carra was in the commentary box. There was a lot more bias there!

Now here's Wright, his first chance to see what he can do, and he's through, it's Wright, ohhhh what an impact by the substitute. And it's Ian Wright who's sent the Palace fans into ecstasy!

I have just re-watched the foul on Tomkins. That was outrageously bad.

That was a poor refereeing decision.
Coutinho should have had a pen.
Bent eke should not have had a card.

The reffing was poor imo. Problem is it was better than normal. At least Clattenburg is leaving - he is the pits.
