We're going to need a massive effort as the Pool will want the points to finish in the top 4. This one will be no walk in the park, especially with Sakho ineligible and Tompkins a fitness worry. We may have to go with a Cb combo of Kelley and Delaney, which isn't the best. Or, if Tomkins is fit, play with three CBs. The argument against that is we have Spuds on a short week and they are in rampaging form. A point from each match would be good as long as we we do Burnley the following Saturday.

Big Sam thinks Tompkins will be back next week which is a massive plus for us.

Btw Liverpool have only won once without Mane in their side and his out for the season.

COYP.

Harry Kane on the radio mentioned that they had some tough games to come mentioning us before ManUre and the Arse. COYP !!

Spurs is clearly the hardest of the games we still have to play in the run in with the form they're in. Still Swansea ran them close before collapsing in a heap at the end so you never know. Think it's more important to stuff Burnley because we can finish above them if we do.

No love lost between big Sam and Klopp so expect it to be feisty in the technical area.

Liverpool are very beatable. Will suit Palace to a tee. I predict 1-3 win for Palace. Us having to play against Leicester was very hard but Liverpool's attacking style will suit us. Hennessey needs to be awake though (he should have stopped that Vardy goal). That's the issue with Hennessey I'm afraid: a very competent keeper but it take's enormous amounts of concentration for him to keep that up as he's naturally lazy. Sorry.

Strangely I think the Burnley game is the hardest one. We know about Pool and the Yids and whatever the result, we'll accept it whatever. But the pressure is v Burnley, a good team who have played the big boys off th3 park more than once. Something we'd all like Palace to be, a side full of young British fighters against the cocky millionaires from abroad.
Liverpool at Anfield, they need, should do the job, but Palace are no longer 9-0 merchants. Clyne going forward, not really a defender these days, so a harassing Wilf may help keep him back. And Palace play well on the break, a scenario offered by both Pool and Spurs. Burnley won't though, like the Foxes.
Anyway, Palace should get at least one point, which, the way way the others in bargain basement are playing, is like gold. Just don't expect too much and Palace, as usual, wil, surprise.

1 point at Anfield would be great.
chip away at that points total.
cant see a win & also nowt against spurs, but again 1 point at the Lane would be great also.
would set us up for sealing the deal vs Burnley (hopefully)
Don't want to play Hull with points needed.

Interesting to see which cb partnering Sam goes with, think he might go with Delaney and Kelly. Delaney, Tomkins would be the preferred option generally but may hurt the continuity. Could go with Tomkins and Kelly just to keep it to one change.

I don't think we could play Damo Vs Liverpool. As much as I love the guy, playing him would play into Liverpool's game plan. Playing Liverpool's style, you'll need to play defenders who are competent and calm on the ball, and won't just hoof it all game.
