Now that would be quite the achievement. He is not even nominated for the latter

Well he should be. He's scored more goals this season (already ) than gerrard scored in ANY season.
More goals by 21 than gerrard , lampard and ronaldo put together.
absolute quality

23 at start of season. He turned 24 in November

The Professional Footballers' Association Young Player of the Year (often called the PFA Young Player of the Year, or simply the Young Player of the Year) is an annual award given to the player aged 23 or under at the start of the season

Personally think 23 is too old

Agree 23 is too old. Messi win ballon d'or at 22 and 23

Doubt the FA would want him winning it just after he snubbed England.

Oh well who cares.

He's clearly the player of the season. At least in improvement.

Zaha is better at beating defenders than anyone else in Europe except Messi. Ther PYA stuff is just froth and bulls**t and a great big love-in for people who think they're important. The real business is to do with putting balls in nets.

What are you saying.....a defender is of little importance because he doesn't get the ball in the net? In Wilfs case we're not talking goal scoring, rather the ability to beat a player and set up someone for a chance at goal. In that respect I know of no body better than Wilf, at the moment in the EPL

On the flip side, we don't want him thinking he'll get overlooked for awards all the time he's at "little old Palace".

Hopefully Sam can convince him it's because he snubbed playing for England

By "putting balls in nets" I merely meant "playing football". HTH.

The nominations are done by players and managers so at the end of the day not many of his opponents can rate him that highly!

Would be handy if none of the managers voted for him.

i think if its managers & players who vote then with oppoenta theres still a stigma with his perceived 'diving' & 'attitude'

we watch him every game and we know thats not true, personally i couldnt give a s*** if he wins awards...all i care about is that he stays at palace and continues to improve like he is.

the scary thing is hes 24 years old, probably wont even peak for another 3/4 years, just imagine how good he is going to be.
