Yeah, I think my first game was in 1991!

Still, I do miss walking through into the stand and hearing the fans underway already. I am a bit on the fence about pre-match music. It's usually blaring so loud the crowd that have assembled early don't try to shout over it. That said, I also remember going to games where about 3,000 fans were in the ground at 2:45 and you'd just hear the occasional "EEEAGLES" echo about the ground. My memory is a little hazy, but I suspect the pre-match music got brought in to cover that up. Perhaps one day soon the noise from the fans will do away with the need for it again.

This should not be seen in anyway a criticism of any supporters, I'm just being nostalgic rather than critical!

C'mon guys.....we all will be in SP in our own good time.

Some of us stand, some of us sit, some of us sing, some of us clap.....some of us actually WATCH the match, most of us get to the ground when WE want.

Misery. I thought and do think it's a nice touch.

But as you say everybody got in early.

I used to sit behind you with my Dad, next to the Directors area banging my feet on the wooden floor. I was so impressed with all the singing that I left my Dad and went to stand on the Holmesdale mud.

I am with you there my friend. The OP made an impassioned please and the missus and i will rise to the challenge of being early for a change. some people just can't appreciate the fun and excitement generated by the HF. Young people (largely) doing us proud.

This Sasa thing is a bit odd. I saw the guy dancing on the pitch and thought he was a random bloke who just managed to get on. Now hes going for a few pints at the whitehorse before the game? I have to say he looks like he likes a pint or two.
I remember his season with us well - it must have been one of the worst on record for many reasons!

I thought that, HF have put similar things out for the past few home games. Those that want to do it will those that dont wont. Only issue i have with it is that its 30 minutes drinking time lost. HF are alright they can take their bottles of pop in with them.
