My gut tells me we will walk away with at least a point but I genuinly think it will be a really hard game. They look fired up, score a lot of goals and dont have anything blatently wrong with them. Plus if we think we should win, we 100% wont. We are Palace and we are not very good at doing whats expected of us!!! :-)

Apart from being spanked 4-2 in their last game with some horrific defending ? They might well be good going forward but if they play that back line we will surely have a good chance. I think their minds are already on the Champs League based on this result alone. Morgan might well play a part tonight but I don't think he will be risked against us unless they take a pasting and are out of the competition. His replacement had a shocker on Sunday. Losing him would be like us with Sakho. COYP !!

Cant fault any part of that but a few days ago we conceded 3 but nobody would say our defence is shocking! Both sides have the same thing...it depends what side show up and a bit of luck...
We handled a defeat perfectly, lets see if they do the same...

I prefer not to rely on other teams to gift us points for whatever reason. I said in an earlier thread on this subject that, when there is talk of a team being more easily beatable for whatever (albeit seemingly good) reason, it generally results in our having our arse handed to us. I'm sure Sam will be approaching this one in the way he would any other game, irrespective of what the opposition are up to.

Agreed and if the guys come out with the spirit / performance they showed against Chelsea and Arsenal then hopefully the game will go well as it's true you can't see Leicester really being up for it.

3 points against Leicester and we will start to climb the table.

The lads will definitely be looking at how high we can finish now. They must be relishing every game...

Ok, that may have been when Claudio was still in charge, but since...

They play Champions League tonight (2 days later than our game) and then they have the return leg on Tuesday. As long as they are still in the tie they can't help but have half their mind on the second leg.

Would their manager consider resting players?

I'm not saying it's a banker, I just think with all the tough fixtures we have left we've got a little lucky with this schedule.

Let's pray that they don't get a thumping tonight

I suspect the best time to play them was when Claudio was still in charge. Unfortunately a) we didn't and b) we were also s**t too.

Beating Arsenal and Chelsea takes the pressure off us for this and the Burnley game. Win both, and we are exceptionally like to stay up.

But really, here on out, its more about how Swansea get on, and to a lesser extent Hull.

Depending on Swansea and Hull's ability to pick up points from now to the end of the season, 40 points may be needed to stay up this year.

Not at all out of the question.

Win both and Swansea need 13 points from 18 and they still have to play Manure and Everton.

It's certainly a good time to play Leicester, especially if they are still in with a chance against Altheti after tonight. Their defence isn't brilliant and we should be confident of creating chances. I'd be amazed if they play their best team against us as well.

I think 4 more points should be enough to stay up and we can certainly target 1 or 3 of them on Saturday. 4 more points leaves Swansea and Hull both needing to string together wins, home and away, which is unlikely. It would also mean Burnley etc all need a win before the end of the season.

My Spurs supporting mate, whilst still convinced they will beat us, is sufficiently concerned to now be finding ways they will need to adjust their tactics. People are taking the progress seriously.

There is no greater compliment.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Time will tell I guess. I remember Sam saying it's hard to follow up a big result in the following match. Like Chelsea and a tired below performance ends in a defeat at Southampton. I'd be more than happy with a draw against Leicester. It's just goes to show how lucky we've been with Benteke not getting injured as remy and Campbell have been injured most of the season.

(and Wickham).

As regards a tired performance, it's possible, but the Southampton game was midweek, on the road, after a Sunday game. This one is at home, after almost a full week's rest, against a team traveling to/from Spain for a midweek CL Qtr Final.

If they have more energy than us, it's our own fault.

Leicester 1-0 down against Athletico due to a penalty decision which was bollocks.

Would say it's looking more like a given that we will reach at least 40 points this season.
