Well Wilf managed to slip up on something in the process of crossing the ball for our first goal. The issue of watering the pitch is a curious one though. I said to the guy next to at half-time that we often see the sprinklers out before the game and at half-time even though it has rained a lot in the days before the game (and sometimes on the day). On Monday night even though we have a had a dry spell there wasn't a sign of a hose in sight. So we must apologise to Arsenal for this serious omission and wish them better luck next time.

Agree - normally the sprinklers are on during the warm up and at half time regardless of the prevailing weather.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

I wouldn't put it past the FA to use it as an excuse to have the fixture replayed, or even dock us points!

Think I read somewhere that Sam had done some training sessions at Selhurst park recently. So maybe they have worked out which surface and which studs suits us best ?

While scanning the net for reaction to this latest triumph over the Arsenic, I came across a Twitter conspiracy theory that claims the result was due to the pitch not being watered. My level of Schadenfreude towards the over-privileged is growing exponentially. I heard that too. My biggest grumble however is all the post match reviews drone on about how poor Arsenal were whilst missing the fact that Palace made them look poor. Arsenal were pretty good in the first half and asked endless questions of our defence but none of this seems to matter to the media.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |
