I agree Dolphin. It heaps pressure on the clubs below us as well, so it was worth a lot more than the three points alone. That extra pressure on Hull and Swansea could cost them three points during their run in, so indirectly it could equate to more.

We have 7 games left which we will all win, putting us on 55 points and a 7th place finish, as no other teams will win anything.

I was reading a hull forum and they're quite concerned with playing us with the majority hoping /expecting us to be safe by the time we play them so we go easy on them ha! Brilliant I think this will happen now. Sometimes the Football God's smile on those who deserve it and I have a lot of admiration for the Hull players and Management (not the board though). They are similar to Palace a few years ago without the funds to entice good players to help their cause in January (like we did) but they got a Manager who knows what he's doing and instilled passion and fight in them. I was thinking we'll definitely relegate them and make us safe but now I think we'll be safe before that game and they'll beat us to relegate Swansea. *Disclosure. This doesn't mean I'd rather this scenario than Palace winning the next 6 games and finishing 10th. But realistically if we are going to take our foot off the gas, I'd prefer it to be to someone like Hull, rather than United or Liverpool.

Current form table here: Perhaps I should add that of the teams we still have to play, Spurs are top of the form league, Leicester are second, Liverpool are at five and Moan Utd at six. Worst of the seven still to play are Burnley at 15. Originally posted by Part Time James
I'd like Palace and Hull both to stay up at the expense of Swansea, Bournemouth or West Ham (albeit the latter two are pretty unlikely). But I don't want us to roll over against Hull regardless of how safe we are. It's good that all of our remaining opponents must be fearing playing us now. Not just because our form is the second best in the Premier League (that's a guess...I think Spurs are the only ones with better form than us over the last 6) but also because there is a certain element of unpredictability about us. Even if we're realistic, we can't be anticipating winning 80% of our remaining games, but we could literally pull a win out of any fixture. By the same score, we could lose against lesser teams. See unless Swansea's parachute opens in their next couple of games, that'll be them goosed. The only other match they might be capable of not losing is the one at the Stadium of Sh!te. Against Wet Spam they were toilet - absolute s***e. Edited by chateauferret (11 Apr 2017 6.46pm)

Pre Chelsea I had us finishing on 37 points with wins against Leicester, Burnley and Hull. Six bonus points says we'll now finish on 43? I doubt it will be as simple as that; this is Palace after all! Just play every game like we need to win to stay up and I'm sure we'll be fine. Edited by Stuart Shave (11 Apr 2017 7.08pm)

In other words let's do on Saturday what we did last night which goes without saying of course He seemed to be talking about the 40 point threshold and move on from there. 37 points might be enough based on other results but 40 would mean Swansea having to win at least 4 from 6 and a draw or more for the goal difference. 37 points would see them needing 3 wins and a draw or more.

We should certainly target all these remaining games as potentially winnable. No one will relish playing us at the moment given our momentum. If we can beat Leicester on Saturday in the same fashion as the Arsenal win there is no reason why we cannot give the bin dippers something major to worry about!

I would rather not, but knowing Palace, we probably will need something there!
Speroni would've saved it! |

Leicester have been rejuvenated and whilst they lost at Everton they have the ability to really 'hurt' us. This will be one helluva game and could well be one in the category of 'After the Lord Mayor's show'. We lose this and Swansea win at Watford and the picture changes.
