Dover Athletic. Bunch of walkers.

Why do you dislike people who like to go for a stroll in the countryside ?

Supporting the mighty CPFC since September 1971

I sometimes think the "hate" thing for other teams is a fashion. People can be very sheep-like and tag on to the prevailing dislikes of any moment without any logical reasoning behind it.

What I do dislike ( hate is perhaps too stronger word) are some of the supporters of big clubs who have sense of entitlement and sneer at "smaller" clubs. That's why it is so enjoyable to beat the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal and rub their noses in their own smugness.

The Brighton thing is interesting. Although there had been some shenanigans before, it was really the 1976 FA cup 2nd replay at Stamford Bridge which was the catalyst for the rivalry. However, a lot of Palace fans aren't even aware of this, so their dislike of Brighton is just a case of following what has now become an ingrained tradition without any knowledge of its source. In fact for me it is Mullery who is the devil incarnate rather than Brighton.

Best reply !

The only team I really dislike is Charlton. I live near loads of them and they are all without exception in experience bitter, nasty c***ish people.

The rest of it is the usual football rivalry / banter which you get caught up in / go a long with but Charlton I loathe them

All day long. Grew up between Greenwich & Blackheath and can agree 100% with these sentiments.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Liverpool - for their delusional fans. Example: I once got embroiled in a ridiculous Facebook "argument" with an extremely erudite friend (of a friend), because he's a Liverpool fan who was incandescent over me calling Suarez a serial biter. At that point Suarez had bitten two people (that we knew of), which I pointed out was enough to make my description entirely appropriate (although Luis did go on to bite a third - at the World Cup, no less). He was completely unhinged by the comment.

Manchester United - for their delusional fans, none of whom are from north of Watford. They have more plastic floating around than the Pacific Ocean.

West Ham - for their delusional fans. You didn't win the World Cup and, in any case, that was over 50 years ago. Since then they've been a s*** team who've now moved into a council house and are sponging off the rest of us.

Chelsea - for their delusional fans. The current crop of Russian wallet-sniffers being only marginally less offensive than the knuckle-draggers who used to support them.

Charlton - for their delusional fans, but that's already been more than adequately covered by Hoof.

Aston Villa - for their delusional fan, singular, my uncle. He's a knob head.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

I enjoy the rivalry with other clubs none more than Brighton and The Clowns as its always been an engaging rivalry and an excuse to act like im still young and in the 1980's.
