Can't forget our goal difference either, basically making it seem as though we're 1 point better off than we are. can't see anyone bar middlesbrough beating that GD but they won't get the points for it, therefore we can effectively knock a point off how much we think we'll need. To me 37 points will do the job, even should GD come into play.

Southampton away is a tough game at any time but with both Dann and Tompkins out it's a big ask. I expect us to lose against Southampton and draw with Leicester but we will stay up.

Southampton missing Gabbiadini, Arsenal under huge pressure. Probably a decent time to play both of these two. Would love to beat United, still upset about that Ashley Young dive in our first season up and we never seem to get anything from them.

We really do have the most negative and miserable fans on this site!!! We have just beaten Chelsea, and have a team of very talented players, the likes of which the other relegation threatened teams can only dream of. As one of the other posters said, we can beat Southampton and nick a point at Liverpool. Also with confidence back i fancy us to draw against Spurs at home. Than an extra 4 points from the predicted amount shown by the OP. This would mean we might only need a draw at Home against Hull, providing we beat Burnley. But that will still be more points gained than the prediction by the OP i think. I'm not suggesting we become like those deluded Hammers fans and whatever they are smoking!!! but we need to show a bit more positivity Agree for the most part but I'm not going to agree that we are out of the woods until it is mathematically certain. Have read a lot of posts on where the assumption is we are now safe because we beat Chelsea. Can't say that I am on that bandwagon just yet - Hull are also getting results and Swansea are just a few points back. I think we might nick another result in there somewhere, like maybe Arsenal at home. Until we do, I'm going to remain worried. I feel positive about the way the team is playing but I also remember Oldham in 1993. It can hit you when you don't expect it.

I fancy us to win at Southampton and beat Arsenal. I would, if we weren't down to the bare bones in terms of a defence, with little to no coverage.

6 points from our next two games imo so we will then be safe. Great time to be playing both Southampton and the Arse! Edited by eagles911 (04 Apr 2017 4.59pm)

Seem to recall our last ten games included Chelsea away. No points from that fixture apparently!! Just saying.

The only games we are likely to lose are Spurs at home and City away. Don't rule out getting something against Arsenal, whilst if Liverpool are without Mane then we really have a chance.

Agree with the sentiment. Funny that relegation and 9th seem equally as likely

We have a much more difficult run-in than a lot of people realise, playing 5 of the top 6 and an in-form Leicester. Thinking from a neutral perspective, you would expect these results: Southampton away: Draw That would give us 39 points and potentially safety. It's going to be tight. None of those teams will fancy playing Palace. I'm now fairly confident we'll end the season with 40 points or more.
