He needs to prove himself for one more season for the big boys to take notice. I disagree with that statement. They will have noticed and he played at the top level for a few years. If you're saying he needs to be put stand out player this season and next season to receive the plaudits he deserves then fair play. I'd love that.

One more season incl. the current performances for both club and country, then forget the EPL teams, Real and Barca will be looking! I think Wilf should sign the new deal, stay another season, go to the World Cup, smash the granny out of it and break the world record transfer fee to Barca. You heard it here first.

Hey Wilf? Can you hear me? STAY. With Big Sam and this team if we survive relegation we will be a force to be reckoned with. Top ten EASY. You'd be where you love, you'd be able to showcase your BRILLIANCE. You'd be able to leave well in 2018/19 having secured CPFC as a EPL regular team, and we will always love you and follow your progress for the rest of your career. If you go in the summer, it may disrupt our consistency, your own happiness and form, and some fans may never get over it. So please Wilf, ONE MORE. Then hugs and blessings.

I think it may be too late For probably the first time in my life I find myself agreeing with Garth Crooks "There is a lot of talk about the Ivorian joining Spurs in the summer. An attractive move for the player I must admit. Who wouldn't want to add the possibility of playing Champions League football to his international career? However, may I suggest that Zaha, having had a disappointing period at Manchester United, takes a pause before considering White Hart Lane. Another season at Crystal Palace under the tutelage of Allardyce may be more beneficial to his overall development. Spurs have enough Fancy Dans in their line-up without adding to them. Palace, on the other hand, are in desperate need of flair and exuberance in an otherwise functional, but effective outfit. Still, if Zaha insists on a move to the Lane, who could blame him?" If it would be a comparable package to that of Tekkers then it would be entirely apt based on wilf's performances this season.

Wilf has definitely got better since joining Ivory Coast but it's still early days for him playing consistently at the very high level he has achieved very recently. He has gone up a gear no doubt but to play for a top five club he has to be able to show it every game more or less a la Harry Kane. He needs one more season with us to prove he can do it then he will fit seamlessly with one of the 'big' clubs. No frustrating time on the bench. Shearer has been spot on with him tbf. Tough love and all that.

I don't think anyone could really begrudge Wilf if he were to leave for a CL side. Having said that, reports of 30mil in today's market is far too low IMO. Over the years, Wilfs biggest issue has been a stalled development above anything else but his natural ability is above pretty much anyone in the current England squad and whilst he wasted a few years, if a manager can get him to perform consistently how he has this season for a struggling PL team, they'll be taking one hell of a player.

I strongly suspect he'll go in the summer, and if not, we'll have one more season from him. If he needs 110k p/w to be persuaded to stay that extra season, he's worth it and more.

I was thinking that if we could make an offer to Zaha that pretty much kept him up there with the top earners we should. Internationally, now he doesn't really have to worry about 'playing for a big team' with the Ivory Coast (in the way you do if your an England player). The concern really is what another London team would offer him. Somewhere like Spurs, could offer higher wages, no real disruption to his life, and the chance of Champions League football (and the bonuses that brings).
