Is it unrealistic to think that we could be safe by this Saturday evening?

I'm torn between wanting them to lose their next two games (to relegation rivals Hull and Burnley) all-but confirming their descent, or for them to take points away from other clubs (preferably by way of draws) so as to keep more teams in the mix. Either way, given that we don't play until Monday, it's going to be hard to be clear of all three relegation spots. It's entirely possible, though, that there'll be only one left up for grabs.

now hoping that leicester get some wins before they face us. If that happens, they will play their B team against us......because of the champions league obligations.

Would love to see them sack the manager (cos he's better than them) and watch them plummet out of it. Sh1te team, sh1te fans, sh1te club and sh1te ground. You forgot to mention their odious owners too. They grabbed a big government handout, and I'd love the "London Stadium" (because it's the only one in London, right?) to be hosting Championship football next season. I wonder how many fans Burton Albion will bring down with them? The Spam will need a lot of help to make that place even half full if they go down.

Disgusting club and fans who somehow remain the media's darlings. They get preferential treatment from the governing body as well, what with the free 60k seater leg up and the bending of the rules over the Tevez saga, so that they could stay in the PL.

It's a massive April for us. Any one of our Games could go either way. all winnable, all losable. 3 points at So'ton will go a long way to affording us a little breathing space and a relieve a bit more pressure. Hull are clinging on - as good a win as Chelsea was, it was negated somewhat by Hull winning. It wouldn't surprise me if both them and Swansea escaped relegation(providing Llorente comes back), meaning we have to keep picking up points and get higher up the table. For the Liverpool game we will be without Sakho and they are a better side than the ones we beat over the past 2 seasons so I'm not expecting anything out of that game. Next 3 on the other hand we should be aiming for 3 points minimum as they are all winnable based on current form and the fact the Leicester will be coming of the back of Athletico away on Wednesday and about to play them at home on Tuesday. If we get at least 3 then Burnley at home could well be the game to target to make us all but safe. If we go into the Hull game not being 6 points clear I'll be feeling very nervous. If we can play Hull with a 6 point cushion we can enjoy the last 2 games of the season!

I posted a few weeks ago that 37 would be the magic number and so if we can deal with Burnley and Hull at Selhurst then we are home and dry.

I'd like us to get something from the Southampton game, 37 will probably be enough, but we're on a run of 4 wins, with only one goal conceded, it'd be nice to keep that going. I'd rather not be worrying about freak results going into may.

Draws are best for us. We picked up '3 free points' at the weekend, and the more teams that are still in the battle, the better. A draw won't do any of those clubs any good. The boost for us, is beating a very good Chelsea side. Its not like they 'didn't turn up', or had a bad day, we beat 'a much better team', that had gone one up.
