Southampton are missing their two 1st choice central defenders, as well as their 1st choice forward. Would be delighted with a point. COYP

Damo will have to be up to the task then and we had better hope for no more injuries. These are 2 key games so to be without both Tomkins and Dann (as well as PVA and Remy) will make things tougher. Is Damo automatically the next choice? What about Kelly?

With Delaney and Sakho both being left footed there is a chance Kelly could start, or both with Sakho in a 3 at the back. Neither Sakho or Damien will have much experience playing as the right-sided centre back. The injuries to Tomkins and Dann have made this game significantly tougher, with McArthur and PVA probably both still out it weakens our hand from the bench. I'll be pleased with a draw and no additional injuries.

The other one not being talked about much is Cabaye, whose departure on Wednesday gave us problems because Sako was s***e (and not fitted to that role) and Milivojevic can't be in two places at once. We need McArthur in there but if he's not available it's Flamini or Ledley - not ideal.

"They won't be in contention for Southampton and maybe not Arsenal, which will test the squad now. "Loic Remy is back training with the squad." Remy is injured and probably out for the season. Therefore the above quote is probably outdated info

We were very fortunate in our first season in the Prem. - we suffered few significant injuries. Likewise the 2nd season wasn't too bad either, but last season and this season have been bad. In the Palace Arsenal match preview on the BBC Sport website they have a Palace "injured XI", and, apart from Campbell and Benteke J, it would be a very respectable starting line-up.

A number of the injured players will slowly become available for the games we have left.
