Best solution would be him to stay next season and we come sixth or seventh and Europa league. He could play for Everton and Southampton at that level now for sure but higher than that would be a tough ask. The top clubs will only be interested if he puts in some very good performances against big clubs. They don't buy players because of one goal or terrorising bottom half defenders. Let's see what happens next.

You cannot seriously think Zaha is a replacement for Hazzard. He is nowhere near the level of Hazzard, he is good, but yet to do anything against the top teams. Time will tell.

Zaha went to Manure before and if the price is right he will go anywhere that represents a step up to him. Yes I'd love him to stay... but ALL footballers are mercenaries full of greed and ambition primarily. CPFC2010 let him go once, and will do it again for the right money sadly. Our feelings as fans will not be considered.

Great goal, it's just a shame it wasn't in an England shirt. Seconded....I sent a couple of irritated tweets to Southgate about it a couple of months ago...I doubt he ever read them....Probably better he doesn't.

Perhaps this would have swayed Southgate to go for him. He has added consistency to his game and will IMO only get better.

No chance Chelsea will want him. He's a great player for us but he's not good enough for a top 4 team.

A player like Wilf would have almost certainly improved the England performance against Germany (first time we lost AWAY to them for 30 odd years I believe). Pity he not available for England.

Dearly love for Wilf to stay at Palace but that's looking more unlikely the better he plays. Great goal for Ivory Coast, many neutrals seem to have finally awoken to his ability. Gotta be worth in the region of 50 mill for two half decent replacements. Hope he continues on his current form and has a cracking end to the season for us, we need him firing on all cylinders.

What is it about you lot wishing or worrying our players away? Threads like this "Wilf to...." are boring and self-defeatest at best. He's got 3 years left on his contract ffs!

We all know Wilf is in the best place hope he does, he obviously has a great talent but having his name on the team sheet first every week and playing in front of fans who love him to bits must help. I wonder how he would of been getting on if he had stayed at Man U

For all we know it's not what he wants. If we can keep this team together over the summer then we really could be fighting it out at Everton and Southampton level. Especially if we can get Defoe

Can't see him getting regular football at Chelsea, city, united, arsenal, Tottenham or Liverpool. So he would be looking at West Ham, Everton, Southampton etc. They won't pay what we'd want for him and with a few signings we could be on their level anyway. The top clubs in Spain won't want him, Italy doesn't pay big money for potential and Bayern wouldn't want to know, so where would he go?
