I do think it's a disgrace we let players like zaha go and play for other nations, especially when we pick the same old players from the big clubs who are only there because they play for Man U. However I do think redmond deserves a call up and I wouldnt say that zaha is better than him to be honest. You watch him play for Southampton and he completely runs the show, like wild does most of the time, but redmond has many different strings to his bow and has for a long time. Zaha is still adding that to his game. Still, zaha is now much more consistent having regained his confidence after his time with the big boys and should of been given the chance. No doubt if and when he gets snatched by spurs all the papers will then be moaning about what a loss it was for England, in the meantime, at palace, no big issue Edited by Jaha (16 Mar 2017 3.12pm) Since when were Burnley, Southampton and WBA classed as big clubs.

We should have signed Redmond when he was cheaply available twice over the past few years. Then we'd have an England winger and wouldn't have spent money on Kebe and Thomas.

Really disappointed Wilf opted for Ivory Coast especially what he has been given since moving here. He would have walked into that England squad today. This business of guys like Wilf going and playing for their roots team is all wrong and needs to be looked at. Of course it would have helped if Southgate had given him some hope. England have now lost a star player who as a country we have heavily invested in. Ridiculous. Really angry. The whole England set up is a disgrace, that's why we will never win another tournament, we're years behind other countries. If wilf was Brazilian, Spanish, German ,he would have been called up in his teens!

We do have an England winger in Andros Townsend and if he carries on playing as he has done in the last few matches he will be back in the squad again. Incidentally I was one of the more vociferous complainers when Redmond was sold to Norwich as I would have liked to have seen him playing in Palace colours, especially at the cheap price that he went at

Wilf has only recently stepped up a level. Also, he can still mature a bit, expecially when ref decisions don't go his way. He's picked up stupid yellow cards only recently. But having said that, he is a player that should have been groomed for England. He can destroy any defence and shoot quickly, powerfully and accurately with either foot. England's loss and a disgrace.

Wilf's just too good for them. I really hope Wilf leaves that Lallana-loving; cheap-mans Gerrard; punchable t***face Boredon Henderson on his ass sobbing when we play them. Bit harsh to signal out Lallana there. He's been class this year and deserves to start for England. The likes of Walcott, Townsend (especially when his form was so poor) and now Redmond, who is promising, but no way delivering the same as Wilf has all season, getting picked ahead of him suggest there's no way in. On all accounts he and Henderson don't get on at all, and with Southgate being so eager to appease the egos of 'big club' players, his face would never have fit. It's a real shame, as a front three of Sterling, Zaha and Kane could have been electrifying together, but a company man like Southgate wouldn't want to rock the boat with his new vice-captain. Pathetic really.
