52% tax. People will be falling over themselves to move there.

Fantastic health service, infrastructure and education.

You'd hope so when you're paying 52% tax.

Most won't be paying 52% as that's the top band for more than €66,0000. Also, many people view quality of life as more than how much tax you are paying. That's the difference between much of the UK and continental Europe where you will generally find a much higher quality of life where everything isn't measured by a tax return.

I have no problem with high taxes, when the return is good and effective services and social functionality. What I do object to is piss poor public services, high taxes and governments spending that's through the roof with no improvement to show.

Depends what you think quality of life means. If you are content that the state defines it for you, then I guess you are happy - well sort of, like the characters in 'Brave New World'.

Blimey, bit of a last minute slump for Geert then? I thought they were pretty much neck and neck in the opinion polls.

A great tactic of scaring the electorate into believing the far right will win. Works a treat.
This is the primary power of the left. They dominate the visual media, which is the only one that really matters.

I think that's taking it a bit far. The state if its taking taxation from the people, has an obligation / duty to use that revenue for social projects that benefit as many of those tax payers as possible.

A good health service negates the need for private health insurance, a good school system should negate the need for private education, a structured and functional welfare state should serve to reduce the impact of poverty and so on.

Even if these are outsourced to third parties by the state as seen in say German and French health care (an excellent example of how privatisation can be used to generate profit for companies and still benefit the public).

The US situation with Education, Welfare, Housing and Health care represents massively irresponsible spending by the state, and irresponsible tax cuts - Creating an effective series of third worlds within America.

So you think the opinion polls were deliberately misrepresenting the support for the PVV? Because it wasn't the visual media saying that they were neck-and-neck based on nothing, it was driven by opinion polls.

Yes, you would think so wouldn't you. Shame the sate's activities are characterised by waste, inefficiency, failed projects and general failure to achieve their goals.

Its lucky then the right wing absolutely do not resort to any kind of scare tactics, emotive appeals and deception of the electorate....

The left don't dominate the media, corporate interests do. The idea that the media is biased against the right wing is a bit of conspiracy paranoia. They are definitely biased against both the far left and far right.

its all a product of this US Republican Rhetoric approch, where anything that's not 'us' is left wing. From Republican Moderates through to socalists

Pretty true of most companies as well. The only difference is they're held far more accountable. My experience of working with Government and Private Sector technology provision, is that private sector provision succeeds usually by overcharging the state for its services, or by under providing on their projects and goal.

Its all a crock of s**t, lies and deception - Everyone blames each other, and we all carry the cost.

Well the simple response is to ask if you believe everything you see and hear. Opinion polls are bunk.
