The magic number is 37. Getting to 37 points turns the odds of survival in your favour. In fact, you can see how much truth there is in the old maxim that every point counts. Simply going from 35 to 37 points – turning just a single draw into a win – almost quadruples a team’s chances of staying up. No team has ever got to 43 points and gone down. No team has ever finished with 33 points and stay up.

There really should be an asterisk there...

Wins over Watford, Burnley, Hull (all home).
Draws with Leicester (home), Southampton (away) and Arsenal or Spurs (home).
Lose the rest.
Give us 12 points, takes us to 37. Should be enough.

The right place at the right time

draws or wins would seem unlikely against the two north London out fits, granted arsenal are in turmoil but spurs are on it.

Three wins two draws. 36 will be enough.

Bournemouth and Hull both won. F***. Still, maybe we can drag Swansea back into it.

Yep these teams are finding that extra gear now let's just hope we can do the same or we are well and truly in the brown

Inevitable, but we need to win our own games and I think there's the belief now - still bloody annoying though!

3 wins in the last 4 games would suggest we are?

Watching those games (admitadlly only highlights), both hull and Swansea looked awful. Bournemouth looked good going forward, but awful at the back. West ham look like they've packed up for the season and thinking about their holidays. Would be quite funny if they lost a couple more and started looking over their shoulders.
