What happens here when/if Souare returns to the squad? Does he fight for PVA's place? Or slot in? And where do we play Shlupp? Unfortunately the important word is if .Souare may come back but will he be same player? We all hope so Wilf leaving? He has played well the last couple of games and is now an international. So in order to be tempted he will need a guarantee of first team football and he may not get it. So I think he may stay unless we are relegated and have a massive offer

I like Souare, I think he's decent but he certainly wasn't perfect to begin with and sadly I don't expect him to come back from this kind of injury a better player, will likely be worse. Also that said, I think he's one of those players that appear better in your mind when they are injured, he certainly had bad games for us. PVA will be our first choice left back, I have no doubt about that. Edited by Littlebogreek (06 Mar 2017 12.22pm)

Does it actually really matter? I mean, I'd much rather have three players fighting over one position than just the one. I also can't see any reason why, if needed, any of them couldn't step in as a left winger or left side of midfield. Oh the worries of actually having a viable squad
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

Just like the buses..... Nothing and then they all come at once... No problem plenty of options. Transfer window has made us look like such a solid/balanced squad.

If Souare comes back as anything more than a good Championship player, then he has done a remarkable job. A year out with a horrendous leg injury that could have ended his career doesn't have a great success rate at Premier League level. As Schlupp can cover both LM and LB, I think either Souare or Sako goes in the summer. Which one probably depends on what level the club think Souare has returned to, and whether the manager rates Sako (assuming we are still in the PL).
