I personally would ban him for life. That was a completely unacceptable thing to do. Also, I can't really understand why he chose to comfront Damo either as he wasn't really having a bad game compared to others that day Don't think he should go to jail though. Doesn't Damo have UFC training? Maybe they should have a "gentleman's meeting"
They say hard work never hurt anyone ... but why take a chance? |

Maybe if he was handcuffed to a seat during the game might be a compromise

He's not five, he's an adult and unless he has a dangerous lack of awareness about the real world then he should accept he did something ridiculously stupid and accept the punishment. It can't be too light or it green lights similar behaviour in the future. I would ban him for next season and the remainder of this one.

He made a silly mistake in the heat of the moment. Yes, he should receive a punishment of some kind, but unless he is a repeat offender I think a life ban would be going too far. Quite agree dan, I, like thousands were very pi$$ed off with what happened I shouted abuse then chose to walk out at half time, as many others did.

Bloody liberal snowflakes he Should be hung drawn and quartered with his head swinging from the upper holmesdale. It should be done in the centre circle at half time during our last home game. I agree with you Dan, he apologised at the time but should be punished. I think he is looking at a three year ban. Life ban would be letting him off whilst the rest of us suffer

The idiot needs to be made aware, that you need to responsible for your actions. Imagine if every disgruntled fan decides to jump the barriers and confront players.

I agree with you mate. People are acting as if he went on and stabbed him. The only criminal act he committed was entering the field of player (which thousands of football fans do at the end of the season). I know he went on in a threatening manner, but a lifetime ban, really? 3 years is enough (unless he does it again of course); I would be absolutely devastated if I was banned for 3 years. It was the heat of the moment, and that should be taken into account in the same way sentencing other crimes takes into account whether it was premeditated or not. I agree, however I remember a match about 6-7 years ago when we were playing crap in the championship and a couple of lads from the Holmesdale ran on to the pitch mid game and confronted the players. They faced execution by Umbo Bongo and Simon Jordan stepped in hauled them into his office and let them off, because he felt they had a point. Rather than nail the bloke to a cross how about calling him out chatting with the board and the player and if everyone is happy move on.. When did that happen? How would Jordan have the power to stop a football banning order from the Police, even if they were then allowed back to Palace after it was up? Yes, it can be seen as a silly mistake, but there were 24,000 other pissed off fans who all managed to contain themselves and not run on to the pitch to aggressively confront a player.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Steve Parish should tell him he can wash Damo's car or mow his lawn once a week for a year if he ever wants to be allowed back in the ground. Then we'll see how sorry he really is about the whole unpleasant episode.

Always wondered how it can be possible to enforce a life ban on someone. Ok maybe he won't be able to buy a season ticket but after a few months if he gets a ticket from someone else who would remember him?
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |
