I loved Aliens. Especially when the Special Edition came out which made more sense.

So I apologise for this in advance.

Definitely one of those actors who flew just under the radar, in a lot of great films without ever being a leading man

Yes. Although the original cinema release was among my best big screen experiences, there is no doubt that it was a travesty to edit out so much footage. It must have been a decision based entirely on the running time and how that would effect cinema audiences. One of the worst decisions ever made in my view.
A film is only too long when it isn't that good. Aliens is one of the best movies ever. No Sci fi film has surpassed it to date.

And he was short, man. Three more weeks and he was out.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Only guy in cinema history to be offed by a Terminator, a Predator and an Alien.

I think that's a pretty fair assessment. Certainly they're aren't many Sci-Fi films I can think of in a similar vein / genre that are better.

The only Sci-Fi film that I can think of, that's comparable (kind of Sci-Fi Horror or Sci-Fi war film) would be Alien.

Suspense, drama, horror, heroism, redemption and sacrifice its all in there. Some of those Colonial Marines are barely on screen and still you care about them (and remember their names).

Arguably the only thing I'd say comes close is Dog Soldiers (albeit smaller scale).

Although Lance Henrikson has also encountered a
Terminator, Predator and an Alien (three times in fact for the later).

Naturally. I actually prefer Aliens but Alien is also a stand alone masterpiece of film making. Cameron and Scott doing their best work.
The new Alien movie seems to have reverted to the old formula.

And Jenette Goldstein of course who has met with an Alien a Terminator and served on the Enterprise B. Not seen a Predator though. Not yet anyway.
