Tend to agree. Masked by the fact he occasionally dribbles forward and wins important headers...but week after week..not quite good enough.Add Pva and shlupp to the list of over priced defenders who aren't likely to fix our problems. Interested fact, JT is the most expensive English CB without an international cap. You call them "Defenders" but they cannot defend !!!!

I do hope that people are not forgetting that the players are our boys. Sam certainly did not when he took the trouble to share his assessment of the Sunderland Match with them last Sunday. Although paid for their trouble, they are closer to the sharp end than the (Palace Family Member) supporter encouraging them from the terraces. I watched them receiving abuse again today (one Stoke player trying twice, without success, to obtain a yellow card for dealing with Wilf, and another landing on top of Christian as he brought him down. Up to the goal they had been playing positively, but then their fragility became clear. They need our support. I feel that were playing against the parked Stoke bus, as their penalty area always seemed to have five of their players who could not be enticed forward (to leave the gaps we needed). COYP

care to back that opinion up fella as i think hes actually been pretty decent for us...granted he cant finish volleys for toffee but hes a CB so i dont expedt that from him. looks like a solid, vertasile buy for the money. The fact we've had 2 clean sheets all season surely attests somewhat to him not impressing. Weak in the air for Sunderland's opener last week, passing is very poor; passing to players already under pressure, barely competed against Crouch today. He seems to jump at balls all wrong, so always ends up falling back. A few goals for us doesn't cover the fact that he's been extremely disappointing. I think it was Leicester away when he literally dived out of the way of a shot which ended up in the back of our net.

For me the fans have a right to vent there frustration! But yet seen to think we can abuse the players at will. Yes they get paid bollocks loads of money but they are only human. The first 2 seasons we came up i remember being 4-1 down to Fulham and every time they scored we got bloody louder. To many fair weather fans jumping on the prem band wagon. We've all just got to do our bit in the stands. We aren't helping with the situation we are in. We've been doing it for a year and won about 4 games at home! Gets a bit tiresome!

I was in the third row and saw him walk off stone faced, but he didnt utter a word. Most of us were giving them a clap and I was looking for Damo's reaction. As he got nearer the tunnel an arsehole in about row 6 with his bird starting screaming abuse at him!- what a tosser. I thought Damo had played OK. It would be better if some of these "fans" didn't bother coming. No of us like what the team is going through and I doubt the players atre loving it either. Would you clap someone in return who's gives you dogs abuse. I think it's sad that someone like Damo who gave his heart and soul when we needed it most, and he was able, may only remember these dark days at the end of his career. And as for the row 6 boy, no doubt he will stop coming if we go down. Maybe he was showing off in front of his bird. We lost 1-0 to Stoke away, a very tough game. Any other time it would be an, oh well on to next game. Every result is magnified now we are close to the drop. Back on track against Boro in two weeks though I hope.

Cant believe we paid £10m for the bloke. Almost as mental as £12m and Schlupp and PVA. Had our pants well and truly pulled down here.

For me, no matter what anyone says, the make up of the supporters hasn't changed a great deal. Sure a few occasionals now have season tickets and won't in champ but in general it's still our normal fan base. Glory hunters wil never choose us. We've always been supportive of players and now we're stopping a little bit. What's changed? The players. They're what's changed. Fans react to lack of passion, commitment and empathy. It's a two way relationship and we're more than willing to do our bit. Problem is they're not.

It wasn't a great game on Saturday which doesn't help. You had a small minority of our fans at the back making a scene and trying to start something with the stoke fans...there were times when the rest of our supporters were more interested in seeing what they were doing rather than watch the game. My opinion of the game was that while none of the players had a stand out performance, they didn't play badly. So its a shame if some of the players had to suffer a bit more abuse.

Some of our fans are absolutely embarrassing. Giving the players tonnes of abuse then having a complete meltdown if the player doesn't bow down at their feet and ask for forgiveness. Pathetic. Yes the bond between the players and the fans is bad at the moment, because we are losing loads of games! Plus the fact some fans are acting like over aggressive tw*ts

The fans do have a right to their opinion. After the Delaney incident last week - not the fan the one where he shielded an over hit pass for 15 yds before needlessly putting into touch I never wanted to see him in a Palace shirt again. He didn't like the comments he got about a very strange situation. Next week he's captain - wtf!
