Other teams are going out of their way to give us hope two points split six teams. All to play for.

Love your optimism but it is a very thin thread to be clutching at. Teams are showing spirit around us and even giving the top teams a right old go. We need to have some sort of cushion by April otherwise we will have to have some momentous performances to keep us up. Both Leicester and us look shot at the moment.

I feel like I'm trying to grasp sand.

The tighter I grip,...the more slips through my fingers

Oh, to be a football club owner,..

Have we been the worst team in The Prem since the second v Watford 8 games ago? You betcha. Were we the worst before then? Nope.

There is a slither of hope but unfortunately unless Sakho, Schlupp, Van Aanholt and Milli are The Fab Four and our other players start to, simultaneously, acquire their football brains again and spirit and stop looking so afraid and tense then we are as good as down.

it's almost too much to hope for but not impossible but I wouldn't put one penny on us staying up as it stands.

I get the impression that half of the d*ckheads on here these days wouldn't understand the relevance of Brighton slipping up.....

what annoys me is the 'blame game' over failures.
Typical workplace shlt, where if everything is running great, we're all back-slapping.

Now things are taking a nose-dive, it's 'point the finger time'.

pathetic. forums become toxic places

Maybe, but we've got to be better than Saturday and more focused, and we're going to have to pick up points from more difficult games.

Effectively we're in trouble and we're not getting out of it without becoming more resolute, dogged and determined.

Every chance to stay up. I cling to the fact that our new players did not play yesterday. Only 2 points away from safety. Stranger things have happened.

Even if we do stay up it has still been the worst season since George Burley.

Whilst they beat us easily Sunderland aren't all that. Leicester are in a worse place than us, Champions League & expectations. Boro' struggling to score, Bournemouth still six points clear but imploding. Will both Hull AND Swansea maintain their form? We only have to be the fourth worst team.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Of course we can stay up - so can every other team in the EPL.

Whether we will or not is another thing. There is certainly the squad, ability and coaching staff to make it happen but someone needs to get into the player's heads quickly to make it.

If Swansea and Hull get away from Palace. Hopefully teams like Leicester, Bournemouth Boro will stay down with us because they look like they're in meltdown too!
