Is exactly what I was inferring without intention. Flamini should have 100% been the man to come on, especially in a game of such magnitude!!

Dont let Cabaye go

We all know what happened after. Ledley who was part of that amazing double act with MacArthur some were stroking themselves silly over vs the worst dross of the season came on to fake a performance.

Replays showed it was from a heavy Sunderland challenge - ironically I think it was Larsson who should have been sent off in the first place!

As long as Ledley is getting minutes on the pitch we won't be picking up many points between now and the end of the season. I have no idea why Flamini wasn't brought on instead. Ledley needs to much protection from other players, he's never been a DM but he's never offered much going forward. He must have lost the ball in about every instance where he was put under even the remotest pressure this season. Hate to say this about one of our own players but I can't think of any worse midfielders in the PL that are still getting as much game time for their clubs as him.

Yet again weak refereeing let's a player off the hook. Larsson should of been off for his second challenge on Wilf. Thing is we were still in the game until Damo and Ledley gave away the second, that killed us totally and to capitulate before half time was embarrassing. It's all played in the head and this lot are shot.

Larsson clattered him: one amongst many.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Ledley, Punch, Hennessey, whoever you want to blame isn't how you should be looking at me. We were all lifted by our result at Bournemouth and thought we had got to the upturn in our results going forward. It's just not like that, you have to plan for the next match and change formations depending on who you are playing and even more so during a match when things aren't going as they should. Yesterday that formation that was so good for us last Tuesday wasn't working and it was easy to see from the off. I think SA was waiting (wrongly) to change it at half time with a one goal disadvantage. We all know what happened just before half time and by the start of the second half we were dead and buried :-(

It's mad just how bad Ledley has become.

When you think, the reason Pardew sold Jedinak was because he didn't want 2 backups to our midfield first choice of McCarthur and Cabaye so kept the 'best' one.

Of all the things I blame Pardew for and selling Jedinak is one of them, him actually thinking Ledley is a better midfielder than Jedinak isn't one of them. I think it was a commonly held belief amongst fans at the time.

But if you substitute Cabaye for Jedinak yesterday, we do not lose that game 4-0.

He has no pace, no strength, no long range passing, no nothing.

Absolute waste of space all of a sudden. Yet another one taking up a squad place with no benefit to the team.

I don't blame him for selling Jedinak because that was probably unavoidable, but I do blame him failing to recognise what he brought to the team and for replacing that (and to use it, whilst Jedinak was still available). In general he had no clue whatsoever about player skills and contributions beyond the purely technical and he made decisions the way one might if one were playing FIFA on the computer.

Maybe that is why he brought Flamini in.
