That man has done untold damage to my club. This. It now looks as if some of the players have been so badly damaged they'll never be competitive in the Premier League again. Delaney probably more due to age. But Puncheon, Kelly, Hennessey, Ledley - completely f***ed. They can only be repaired in a full and well-designed close-season boot camp, if at all. Dann and Ward also severley damaged.

I think you're reading too much into it. We lost due to a combination of bad decisions tactically and the players bottled it. Replacing the injured Cabaye with Ledley sealed the deal. The midfield was too one dimensional, Remy should have came on with macathur dropping in to Cabaye's position. Hopefully BS has learnt his lesson from yesterday, no more Ledley puncheon combination. No more Ledley or Puncheon full stop. Schlupp and Milevojevic.

This is sadly true. What Pardew did to Kelly is criminal. No left back cover at all and then plays Kelly there for 2 months and Ward at right back instead of the other way round. And people say he's probably laughing at this and us now.

There are a multitude of problems, that appear obvious. 1. There appears to be no pattern to how we play, it seems to change every game. So the players don't know what they are supposed to be doing. Every player should know, what is expected of them, they don't, they seem strangers that just met in the changing room. Absolutely agree with your points. Why on our are we playing our best player, MacArthur, as a winger. As far as I can remember he has never played there. At the if the day the players are coached in where to play and it failed miserably. Why oh why are we not playing two strikers at home against the team with the worst defensive record in the league. Our play has not improved under bfs in fact we are letting in goals by the shed load since he came in. Wrong choice of manager he is greedy and o my in it for the money. Since the Americans started getting involved on the playing side it has been a disaster.

I wonder whether they interfere in the day to day running of the club or whether they call the shots in the selling and buying of players.

Goalkeeper makes a mistake and the trouble starts. Cabeye replaced with Ledley (surely Flamini was the better option) Punch remains in midfield I cannot understand why Jim Mac didn't swap positions with punch Delaney's poor distribution putting Ledley in trouble- and let's face it he can do that all by himself. Tomkins turned inside out by Defoe and unable to hit the back end of a cow with a banjo. To think He took the ball off Dann's head... Sat on a train with a Sunderland fan. Reckons SA will get us going in the end. He still thinks they're going down. Let's face it - they can't face us every week. More generally- I'm concerned with our shape as Ward is no wing-back. Hope we go back to 4 at the back coz we can then drop DD and PVA will need someone good in front of him but that only works if he's at leftback - not left wingback.

My take on what's gone wrong is as follows: 1. contracts. After 2 or so years suriving in the prem with predominantly championship standard players, many have now been given big premier league contacts - supposedly Ward is on £35k a week. These are life changing sums and it is only natural that a little hunger and desire has now been lost. Players like Ward, Punch etc are definitely not the same player as 2 years ago 2. Unbalanced squad - this goes back to Pulis era who released 2 left backs and didn't buy a replacement. In the summer Pards let 2 centre backs go and replaced with just 1. We only had 1 recognised left back in the whole squad and he then got injured (driving his 120k car too fast!!). 3. New players coming in on silly money has unsettled the squad - Cabeye on £86k and Beneteke on £120k will has caused unrest. Zaha 'only' on £40k is a prime example and his agent has unsettled him. 4. Pardew's philosophy - think he lost sight of what made Palace a decent team - hard work and organisation. I applaud him for trying to get us playing more football but these steps were made too quickly. Home form in particular has been a massive issue for 2 seasons. Having said that we usually in games and rarely lost heavily 4. Big Sam's appointment. Let's be honest in ideal circumstances he would have had consider Palace as an employer so we knew we were buying damaged goods. I think he has one way of managing , just like Redknapp, and times have changed. He has spent massive quantities of money in a desperate trolley dash and yet palace have got worse. I am concerned for the future, especially when you look at Swansea and Hull and how they've improved recently

The problems are as much off the pitch as they are on it, probably more so. The change of manager has altered absolutely nothing. Players who, on paper, should make us an upper-mid table side are simply not performing. I don't think there's a single manager out there who could change it. Something, and I simply cannot work out what, happened at the end of 2015 where a massive cloak of negativity suddenly and without warning descended on the club. Players who played creatively and cohesively just stopped functioning. Our mentality changed almost overnight, it was that sudden. Under Pardew, we finished the 14/15 season and started 15/16 very promisingly but spectacularly (and it really was spectacular) fell apart afterwards. How can it simply be down to one man, who got us playing so attracively and so consistently, for this collapse, and if it was, why can his successor (who, like him or hate him, has a rep for putting out tight and disciplined sides) not halt the slide? There seems to be an atmosphere almost like death about the place - everything we built up, the support, the obvious team spirit, the 'never say die' mentality, Fortress Selhurst has evaporated in a puff of smoke. Is it really possible that one man could have destroyed all that, and so suddenly? It's the sudden-ness of the collapse that perplexes me. What can possibly bring about such a dramatic change in so short a period of time? It beats me, it really does.

Our problem is very simple, if our home record was the same as our away record we would be on 24 points and that would put us safe...ish...
