After today's result what are our chances of staying up ? I know there are 14 games to go but if we can't take points from a bottom three club who are going take points from ? Pardew must be laughing at us now.

As slim as a bulimic after Xmas.

I wonder whether the Americans had a say in the appointment of BFS and on the sale and purchase of players.

There's no chance of us staying up based on today's showing. We need at least five wins from our remaining games and I doubt if many people on here can see that happening.

We will be relegated. Not sure how anyone couldn't have thought otherwise after last season.

We have not improved and are the worst team in the Premier League.

We deserve to be relegated.

Before Bournemouth think we needed at least 9 points in the next 5 games to be in with a chance. Sticking by that so at least 2 wins next 3 games. The major worry is just like after the Soton game a run hasn't materialised and we have folded spectacularly at the back and looked worse at the front, as a result being never in the game. Therefore I'm not holding on to any run of form at the moment, meaning our chances look very slim.

I think we will stay up, but only just. Tonight I really want to be optimistic. Despite how grim today was I still have hope. More than that I have belief. I believe that we can and will survive. Our squad is strong. Yes they played very badly today, but we know from other games this season that they can play well under other circumstances.

For our next game against Stoke we need some changes. Maybe Spinoni back in goal, with Milivojevic, Sakho and Remy on the pitch from the KO. I truly believe that his squad has the ability to can us out of the deep dark pit that we are in.

You have to remember that it has always been like this. It is a Palace characteristic that we do it the hard way and sometimes it's very hard indeed. I have been a supporter for 41 years. (My first game was on Saturday 21st February 1976, when we we played Wrexham at home. It was a draw).

Of course I am fed up and a little angry that these well paid players are not performing to the level that we expect. I can remember seeing Palace play much worse and win and also play much better and lose.

When I first started going to games Palace were in League Division Three, (the present League One). Palace supporters don’t expect to win cups or leagues. Our aspirations will always be rather lower, like not being relegated. But over the decades, even at the lowest times i have always been excited to go to games and my hope remains undiminished.

After today's performance I'd have to say none. :-(

This is the first time since we came up that I feel we're down. We can't defend, we can't score, we have no confidence and Big Sam is like a deer in the headlights....

i was dreading this game for more than one reason after bournemouth our confidence went from rock bottom to sky high{a lot posters where saying that we would walk it oh dear its as if they have never watched palace before} we playing against a team who coming into form who have a proper striker and a team who really were fired up ,after that first goal which should have disallowed we fell to bits {just like the west ham game}its because of a sense of here we go again went through the players minds plus certain sections of the palace supporters screaming abuse at our own players which does not really help ,but there is still hope we can pull out of this mess we have 3 new players coming in soon plus our first choice goalie should be back soon and my god do we need him, and the players really do want turn this round ,THERE STILL HOPE please keep the faith !!!!

so checking the 538 model, before bournemouth we had a 53% of relegation , after bournemouth,40% chance and now we have a 65% of relegation, which suggests we have a 35% chance of staying up or roughly a third.

The nagging problem we have is home form. Palace saves its worst for Selhurst, for some crazy reason. Maybe we should where the change strip at home. As for our chances of staying up, it's may sound crazy but no matter what happens with Swansea on Sunday we will still be two points from safety. That gives us hope. Sakho will probably be in the side against Stoke as well as Luka due to injuries to Dann and Cabaye. I'm not ready to give up the ghost but it's getting a lot harder to be optimistic watching displays like today's. I do take some comfort in the fact we have not played well against Sunderland at home for quite a while now.
