If, like at Bournemouth, againwe play with desire and shape for the next five or six matches then, even with a few losses, we are back on track and have hope.

Sam has a lot to prove still.

Reserve judgement until March.

What happens is, much like up at Newcastle I reckon, somebody can't let it go. Then somebody makes a thing of how they can't let it go. Then someone else pipes up that, yeah, they can't let it go.

Then a smart arse like me comes along and picks that person up for extending the boring pardew chat. Then someone else, who's maybe not quite full shilling, wades in calling Pardew a rude name.

Then someone else thinks. f*** it. I'm in. I hated that guy pardew. I'll just say something.

Before you know it, the intellectual colossi* of HOL -- bexleydave and Rudin hedman -- are having it.

*doesn't look right as the plural of colossus but there you go

Ah Yes, Rudin Hedman- our Russian winger - I hated him too.

The curse of Pardew will mean - like Newcastle - we will go down and bounce back up with a good manager a la Big Sam!

Meanwhile the management albatross that is Pardew will feel all smug because we weren't in the bottom 3 when he left! It's that kinda bloke that he is ...

Sam is wellup against it and I think he'll do what he can but it might not be enough ...

Early days. I can't get overexcited about the Bournemouth result as we looked superb when we beat Southampton only to look woeful for weeks after.

The facts are we are a crucial place lower and have hardly scored.

New signings one huge Serbian unknown, two exciting left sided players and Mr Sakho who could be a genius loan move or a pile of disruptive baggage like Adebayor was.

Well art least it won't be dull!

I'm all for realism, but blimey cheer up FFS. There's 45 points to play for, we've just had a very good window considering and the attitude of the team and the way they're playing has taken a turn for the better.

If, God forbid, we do go down, 'bouncing back' and 'doing a Newcastle' are extremely unlikely. What is more likely is problems at board-level, a mass player-exodus and, at best, many years in Championship obscurity, with nothing whatsoever to show for four years in the PL and at worst, an inexorable slide down the tables.

This topic a bit premature as Allardyce he hasnt had a brilliant month points wise has he, but then Ive just realised its just another way to keep harping on about the past and blame pardew.

Pardew was sh1t though. Go on, admit it.

I think I'll wait till we've played Sunderland and Boro to pass my judgement.

It was even more premature for all the w***ers who have been c***ing him off after 5 minutes of being in the job so for me he deserves praise even if it is just one win.I didn't even think he'd have gotten us a win this early considering how bad we have been for the past year.
