Jedinak replacement issue addressed.
Not sure about Sakho but as with all of them time will tell.
Reported spend on the first three above £38m - Benteke was £32m by himself!
Well done to everyone at CPFC!!

Net spend for season just under £50 mil. Considerable increase in wages. That's some serious money.

I can see us clearing out the deadwood of half a dozen in the summer and a net spend well under half this season's £50mil. But we will need a forward and a permanent CB and RB so again more headaches to come.

The man hasn't put a foot wrong since he took over the club and some on here and twitter owe him a massive apology.

He has nothing but the bests interests of the club at heart. If there is money to spend he will allow it to be spent - and if it means getting the best deal for the club by waiting until the 31st January or 31st August then so be it.

Nobody has an insight to the finances of the club, but what we do all have though is knowledge that we have a chairman that always does the right thing by the club - ahead of any individual and those that post or tweet abuse to him during the transfer window should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves and stop behaving like a child who just can't wait until christmas.

I agree, the disrespectful comments that have been posted on here about Steve in the past, show the ignorance of the poster.
There is no doubt he has the best interests of Palace at heart, not an assets stripping foreigner that some clubs have been lumbered with.
He doesn't get everything right, but who does.

We have gone from bust and having to sell any player worth anything to having probably the best group of players in our history .
The evolution has been quite remarkable .

Steve Parish our best ever chairman ? Do up Selhurst and it will be by a country mile .

We have had 2 great Windows and the board have backed their managers to the hilt so if we go down now it won't be the board I will be blaming its going to be the players so the players had better buck up and start getting results lets see what happens between now and may they have no excuses now at all will pass judgement in May

He has certainly backed the manager and made the right call in getting him in.

However, we do seem to miss out on many targets, leave our deals late, and often pay over the odds. I think in future, we could use a director of football who could also direct a long-term transfer policy. Hopefully Allardyce will know what to do to help professionalise the club in its scouting and transfer system.

Good thread, amazes me when anyone lays blame at SP door.

Also joke to think he's not a top director, yes he's finding his feet in some respects but he's honestly doing an amazing job.

We are where we are becuase of him.

He's transforming the club.

Some seem to think he hasn't done it quick enough. Insane!!!

We're very lucky!

I love the man but he's not perfect.
Appointing Pardew seemed like a good idea at the time. Never to me though. Where Parish went wrong was not sacking him after the cup final.
If it had been down to me, Pardew wouldn't have had a chance to get into his company car in the Wembley car park before I'd have had it towed away.

He may not have got every decision right, but who the hell does in life? 40 years a Place fan and in my opinion, he's the best by some distance. Keep it up, SP.

Joe Hart looks angrier than a kid with no Easter eggs, David Silva looks like he won't smile for a week. Vincent Kompany has taken his shirt off and looks like he might just start a fight with himself. The visiting dressing room will be a glum place.

He splashed the cash and got some deals done, and hats off to him for that. It was a bit muddled and amateurish if we really did chase 30 players inside a January window, but he stuck to his guns on Jenkinson and if he really was asking for 70k a week that was a good shout. We strengthened in some important areas and Parish recognized that spending 35 mil or so to protect the 100s of millions at stake in the premier league made good business sense. He backed the manager, and he hasnt always done that. I think now is the time to move on. I dont know if Parish will ever be an elite level chairman, in terms of his decision making and leadership, but hes what we have got.

Which manager was that.?
