Cucking Funt Clapham on the Back 01 Feb 17 4.58pm | |

Throughout this miserable period we've been through, Delaney has been about the only player to consistently play with passion and determination. The man is truly a lion heart. Whatever he may have lacked in technical skill, he more than made up for it in sheer grit. Sadly, age eventually catches up with everyone and he can't be expected to continue at this level for much longer. I, for one, am hugely appreciative of the part he's played in getting us to where we are now.

Aside from the other responses, which are all valid, he's left-footed. Good lord is it not clear this is a joke? Delaney as a wing back?? He has the pace of Jan Molby. Come on guys....gotta use the noodle there. Damo is not a wing back.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Everyone is assuming we're going to stick with a back 3 but I'm not so sure at home! SA moved Tomkins to RB at West Ham and if Schlupp gets fit I can see Hennessy Tomkins Sakho Dann PVA Luka McArthur Zaha Cabaye Schlupp Benteke Subs Mandanda Ward Delaney Ledley Puncheon Townsend Remy

Delaney has a wise head on him. If you think a few moves in advance, you don't necessarily need pace. I would play him in central midfield. If there's one thing lacking in his game, it's that he hasn't learned to charm the referees. If you watch Wayne Rooney play, he is constantly occupying 'the lug' (the crucial space near the man in black's ear hole.) If Delaney can master the skill of broadcasting to the ref for 90 minutes, there is no limit to the number of decisions he could influence.

A monster of a man who embodies the palace spirit forged in the fires of palace post administration. Hes still playing well but you can see its taking its toll. Hopefully still some contribution to make this season and maybe he can finally hang up his boots and get down the job centre! Its only been 5 years but he definitely deserves some form of testimonial to mark his time if this is it.

Sadly Trump was elected by winning the election, but not the popular vote. I think this whole Delaney as a wing back thing could gather some momentum here, might start a petition.

Only issue here is he would pick up the ball in the middle of the park and lump a long ball upfield straight into row z. He cannot pass for toffee. But then neither could Jedinak and he did ok for a while.
