I am already pleased with what we have managed. PVA is a great upgrade and Schlupp looks like a decent replacement for Bolasie (albeit a different style).

If we can also get Milivojevic - does anyone else remember the transfer deadline day when we supposedly signed two eastern european players only for it all to fall through due to work permits? Then he looks like an experienced replacement for Jedinak.

If we can get Kone, then he is a massive upgrade on Campbell.

Sakho would be a brilliant fourth Centre Back, if not then the ex-Juventus player would be a good back up.

It feels like we have a good squad now. Regardless of how the next 55 minutes pans out.

And a win tonight, a clean sheet, a goal for in the 90th minute, a team that looks like it can be bothered... it suddenly looks bright again.

Confirmed on CPFC website straight after final whistle & interview already up on eagles tv.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Thanks. It is also just reported on Sky Sports. The Kone deal looks like it might also actually happen too.

The Milivojevic signing could prove to be the bst we've made in years - if he can reproduce his recent form in the EPL.

I would have been happy with two left sided players and a DMF. Looks to have been an excellent, if expensive, window.

Lets hope they all gel together nicely. 3 points this evening, need another 3 on Saturday too.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Yes, I think you might be right.

I was a Pardew fan, but I think that Sam has worked wonders to not only right the wrongs of the summer transfer window, and the bad luck with Souare's injury but to also improve on them and lay down a marker for the future.

If you look at the squad as it stands now. Add in Kone if he impresses, add in Souare and Wickham when back from injury then we have the foundations for a half decent squad for next season.

He just needs to keep us up!!

For all the arguing about Sakho's attitude and price, he'd absolutely be the cherry on the icing on the cake.

If we want to continue playing a back 3, having Sakho on the left side with Delaney in the Haangeland/sub role would be massive. You can't even say it's harsh on Damo as he was off to America when we signed him as a stop gap in our promotion season. He's had his extended time in the sun and I think would have a great attitude from the bench anyway.

As it stands, we simply will not be able to play Delaney/Dann/Tomkins from now until the end of the season. We'd be lucky if only one of them gets injured/suspended at a time as only Kelly can offer cover.

I think PVA is a replacement for Souare, Schlupp is an upgrade on Puncheon and perhaps our new CDM (I'm not spelling it) will be an upgrade on Cabaye.

However, I do think Sakho allows Sam's preferred formation at all times even with injuries, will be a huge upgrade on Delaney and if he's prone to an error, has 2 other CB's to help him out.

Two left sided players in.

Jedinak replacement finaly.

Another Striker (Kone) Better option than Campbell!

Very very good window and we now I think have a decent squad that should start picking up some points now.

Be even better if we can get Sakho but unlikely now as i can't be on loan.

Credit where it is due. Parish has gone a long way to repairing the damage he did with not sacking AP sooner. He has backed the manager, it always somehow seems a bit schoolboy with Parish and we were linked with so many players I was surprised to not see Lombardo getting some column inches in the mirror. I think overall we have dont very well with the transfers. Getting Sakho in should be good, he is a bit of a donkey but he plays for France ffs. Patrick Van made some errors today but I think will compete well with Schlupp for the wing back spot. Would have liked to see someone signed to replace Joel Ward as right wing back, assuming we play that system a fair bit against the teams around us...This Serbian bloke looks good but who is going to make way, honestly I would drop Cabaye before Jimmy Mac. Is this the game where Andros Townsend turns the corner aswell? Suddenly things are looking up. Kone is a great addition too as it means Campbell should never get near the pitch again.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Only Mutch on the way out. Come summer, he'll be followed by Campbell, Kelly, Fryers, Lee and Hennessy.

Dead wood removed and replaced with improvements.

We certainly look to have had a fantastic transfer window.

Well done hats off to SP, SA and the Board. I can't wait for Saturday, want to see some of what we have bought on display!
