Nor should it be. The people voted for it to be implemented. So he is doing what the people want. The only recent change has been the ruling of the judges. Now we can debate the exit in Parliament. It will happen. But there will now be approval from Parliament. That is what Brexit is about (amongst other things). Why May opposed it, I have no idea. She wanted to remain.

I kind of agree but MPs also have a responsibility to represent their constituents. Only around 52% of the UK voted to leave the EU the other 48% deserve representation as well in Parliament. Its not a case of any old exit will do. The facts of an exit must be clear to the people, there will be consequences to the UK of leaving which clearly were obfuscated in the rush to win the referendum

This shouldn't be about winning but the peoples interest, their futures and their life.

Yesterday was significant as the US and UK are going to wait for any trade deal until the 2 years are up.

This all points in one overwhelming direction to me.

Labour, as it is, has no interest in winning elections. It's current power brokers value ideological purity over electoral success.

Corbyn is no leader. He is not even a politician of any calibre. He is s*** scared of losing seats to UKIP if he opposes Article 50, he himself hates the EU, yet he continues with this charade of not quite embracing Brexit and not quite opposing it.

Say what you will about Theresa May but there are no obvious splits showing in the Tories over Europe. There are in Labour, which point to a bigger issue within the party.

Lol!

The whole reason there even was a referendum was the Tory split over Europe! Where have you been for the past 40 years.

I do hope that the grotesque/vile image of Corbyn and Abbott in Cucking's dungeon gradually fades in my mind.....

Where is the visible Tory split now? They appear to be getting on with the business of Brexit.

Labour are seeing resignations on 'matters of principle' over Europe.

By all means dish out the 'put downs' but if you fail to see that at the moment the party suffering through Brexit is Labour, then you are blind.

'LOL' indeed.

Tory MPs don't have principles they just do as they are told.

The private citizen who won the case over parliamental sovereignity must be wondering why she bothered.

It won't be the same in Europe though.

.

Having a principle to govern effectively, is a principle. The Tories are disciplined on this matter.

Bickering over ideological purity instead of pursuing electoral success is failing your party members and constituents. Labour love an internal squabble over policy detail.

Do as they are told?

Interesting conclusion.... I would say they are all singing from the same hymn sheet.

Corbyn set the tone for "defying the whip" with his parliamentary record as a back bencher... that is why the voting public do not take him seriously.

Gina Miller was looking out for her own interests as a staunch remainer and hoped her actions caused a 2nd referendum to overturn Brexit and is just as bad as Tim Farron who hoped this situation would see a resurgence in LibDem popularity.
