Not all doom and gloom then as I reckon that lot will do ok next season against the likes of Forest and Villa.

What? Our best team consists of choosing just nine players.

Wow that's super-confidence in the ability of your line-up.

Where does this forum get these people from?

So, at last we appear to have sorted out the left side problems and you think we should either play Schlupp on the right and, in your alternative formation, you have Townsend on the left, where he claims he can't play and has a massive sulk. I'm glad Allardyce is in charge.

Typo there! Meant schlupp would come in for townsend instead of wilf.

People have gone so overboard on townsend, he's a decent player. He never said he can't play left, he says he prefers right. Played well and worked v hard vs Bolton, no evidence of sulking.

I'd keep the same side for the Sunderland game but, when everyone is fit, I think this could be our best XI

---------------------Mandanda-------------------

--------Tomkins-------Dann-------Sakho----------

Ward-------McArthur---Cabaye/Milivojevic----PVA

----------Zaha------Benteke-----Townsend-------

Subs: Hennessey, Kelly, Delaney, Cabaye/Milivojevic, Ledley, Puncheon, Remy

Suddenly we have a good squad again.

I'd slowly build from the same side against Bournemouth to something like this:

Mandanda[Hennessey]
Tomkins Dann(C) Sakho[Delaney]
Ward[Kelly] McArthur[Puncheon] Milivojevic[Cabaye] PVA
Zaha Benteke[Remy] Townsend[Schlupp]

(Subs in brackets)

No room for schlupp? even on the bench?

I had to smile when I saw your post as you couldn't post with your usual affectation otherwise the bench would have read:-

Speroni
Kelly
Flamini
Lee
Townsend
Sako
Remy
Parrot
