WE are bottom of the form table. so stop dissing these other clubs. WE are the worst, statistically. Swansea have taken 6 points of us and got a win at Anfield. i cannot believe the delusional opinions being expressed here. Hull, Swansea, middlesboro, leicester, etc all have a better profile than us. In Sam we trust and all that, but lose another two games and we will be requiring snookers to stay up....requiring wins and only wins to stay up. so get out that chequebook, buy some new talent and lets start playing ugly.

Totally agree. The dubious honour of Premiership team with worst form is undoubtedly Palace. Relegation fodder.

Ryan Mason fractured skull. Could hear it fracture as it happened. Pretty sickening. Hope he get's better. Relegation is not a disaster. Apart from Sunderland the other teams are better than us.

Relegation would be a financial disaster, on many levels. Getting promoted back up to the Prem would be amazingly difficult, and who knows if we could bounce straight back up, or whether we'd slip into long-term mediocrity in the Championship. Not only has BFS got a massive job on his hands, but I fear we may run out of games before we get where we want to be. Pardew swerved the bullet for a few games longer than he should. I hope that loss to Swansea (the second one) doesn't prove to be the pivotal moment that sent us down.

At the game on saturday i heard several times "there's plenty of worse teams than us down at the bottom" when in fact there aren't. we are lucky to be third from bottom with our statistics. As has been said, trust, faith and all that mumbo jumbo to oneside, we need to start fighting our way out, show some passion and heart and maybe, just maybe, they will get out of this mess.

Perhaps it is a much bigger job than he anticipated. At Sunderland he joined in October and lost 8 of his first 11 games and we cannot afford this at our club.

i think middlesborough and leicester will be dragged into this aswell, its going to go down to the wire regarding relegation, but we have 4-5 of the leagues top teams from april to may so going to be tough.

We need to sort ourselves out and not worry about others. I suspect some teams above us could nosedive. We took a step in the right direction v Everton but need to go up a notch at Bournemouth. I think Allardyce is insisting they get the defence right before really working on attacking combinations. That's my theory anyway. I think not long after the defence gets a more solid feel to it, well see the forward play coming together. Agree, we can only concentrate on ourselves and getting our performance right. It took Sam a bit of time to sort Sunderland's defence out but once he did they really turned their form around. He has far less time, hopefully he can work a miracle.

Hull have just accepted a bid from Burnley for Snodgrass. He has been involved in 50% of their goals this season (10 out of 20 - 7 goals and 3 assists). That's a huge loss to them - like us losing Zaha. Which means it's a good thing for us, unless they use that £10m to uncover some superstar.
