Would one answer not be to make the Arthur lower tier standing like the grounds in Germany, have the wheel chair car park at ground level, entrances at each end of the ground, plus if you make it standing you dont lose as much ground capacity

This is just like the supermarket, create loads of spaces that are for a small minority that are rarely ever used.
How many spaces do we need? Surely We should be able to cater for need rather than a quota set. Why create say space for 50 disabled fans if only 20 want to use it? Create the section for those that need it and if others request it then surely seats can be removed to accomadte as and when.
Yes we need to look after and provide for disabled fans they are stuck at the back of the Arthur at the moment. Personally would take a few front rows of seats in the Mainstand and use those. Easy access through the side gate, Vechile access and a good view for the fans too.

This is a delicate one and it's difficult to say anything anti without sounding unfeeling or worse, but would we really ever need 100 wheelchair spaces? I tend towards the view that we should be required to cater for the demand rather than a quota. I'm willing to be told I've got this wrong. To echo dannyh's post, under current legislation we can't introduce safe-standing unilaterally, but could we create an area with something like rail-seats that are locked in the seated position unless required by a wheelchair user?

Should be an area that's easy to access etc, where seats can be added / removed as necessary. this would mitigate any drop in capacity

More accessible seating areas would be good. Posted on here about this before. Bringing my mum to a game next month. Her mobility is poor but she's not in a wheelchair or using a mobility scooter. Managed to ticket swap so I can go three rows from the back of the aw with her on an aisle seat. Getting her from my car and into her seat isn't going to be the easiest thing to do as I can't get very near. Not sure they need that many spaces though but realise as others have said it's about meeting quotas.

All Premiership clubs face being fined (or possibly worse) for not achieving improved seating, access and all other facilities and arrangements for disabled fans.
I am sure the current facilities do not suit many disabled Palace or opposition fans for many differing reasons.
It was first agreed in 1998, further commitments were then made in 2015 to meet them by Aug 2017.
When you consider the billions of tv money earned by premiership clubs verses the paltry amounts required to adequately facilitate disabled supporters it is nothing in comparison.
I appreciate disabled supporters require more space and additional facilities but surely they deserve parity with their able bodied kindred!

Well said, not everyone who needs 'easy access / disabled' spaces is going to be in a wheelchair. People who need carers for example, shouldn't have to be buying two tickets and cramped up in the stands, and people with poor vision, might be better catered this way (esp if its nearer the pitch).

Then thinking about it, getting up the Holmedale road is brutal enough, god knows how you'd manage that in a wheel chair or on crutches.

Which game was it when someone scored and quite a few wheelchair supporters leapt out of there seats?
