And that's a fact.
Do you honestly believe any manager could sort this car crash out in a few weeks?
The writing was on the wall for all to see last year.
I think we'll go down and it won't be because of Allardyce.

We were a real mess before Pulis arrived and again just before Pardew turned up. They got it sorted in a week or two.

I tend to agree with you that we will probably go down . I may have been too influenced by all the pundits saying that the squad at Palace is a very good and that BFS will sort them out because the players are good enough. So far I think we have been less effective than before and have looked less like collecting points than we did under Pardew. Maybe it is a case of a step back to go two forward. I hope so nothing would give me more pleasure to see BFS save us.

I can't remember whereabouts we were in the league when Pardew took over but I'm pretty sure he didn't inherit the mess and low morale that Allardyce has.
He's a devisive character. I remember him only too well as a player for us. Like the majority of Palace fans at the time, I couldn't stand him then either.
Were it down to me, the only time I'd have had him back at Selhurst was as a visiting manager.

Perhaps the players also have thought it will be ok now Sam has come in and forgotten they are going to have to fight for survival big time

The low morale has appeared since Pardew left. Even though we made lots of shooting ourselves in the foot mistakes the team did have spirit and looked like scoring goals. And we did.

I have to agree with that the players look far more confused than they did before and certainly have lost their enthusiasm. However we are told that BFS is just the man to sort it out. Well he had better get a move on !

Scoring goals has not been the problem this season. On that we can agree. But I don't mean to be rude but I don't know how you can say morale dropped after he left.
Puncheon and the cup final springs straight to mind off the top of my head.
In my opinion, and obviously it's only my opinion so probably doesn't count for much, he's done an awful lot to demoralise The Palace. 6 league wins in 2016 for starters. That can't do much for a players' morale.
I'm just glad he's gone but I think it's too late and the damage has been done.

I understand where you are coming from and results wise yes we were poor in 2016. But, strangely, overall the performances were not too bad. Some odd decisions sure but no one was here slagging off the the team for lack of effort. Well, they are now. And that has occurred just in the last few weeks. No one really outplayed us back in 2016 and we always had a goal or two in the locker. That situation has also changed, unfortunately..

Goal scoring has not been a problem in the past but since BFS we have only scored 2 in 6 games I think? So now as I see it we cannot score and cannot defend !

Oh I agree. We played some lovely stuff with him in charge but I think I said it in another boring post of mine, you could see the rot setting in. The, at times, baffling substitutions, the questionable buys, the lack of tactical nous (or that 'no plan B' awful saying), and suchlike.
I really wanted him to do well and he did for a while but as much as I hate to admit it, everything the geordies said came to pass.

You cannot cure all the ills of the past in less than a month in the job. As Kermit or someone else said earlier, judge him further down the line after say 7 weeks. Remember that he didn't get a win in his first 8 games at Sunderland. We can't re-write History and we are where we are. I know you are anti Sam and this clouds your opinions, quite why us a mystery. Would you honestly rather have Pardew back or give Sam a chance and support the decision of the board?
