Unfortunately he has never filled me with any confidence. It's ok to come out but for fcuk sake come out with some conviction. Everything he does is half hearted and almost cowardly. We have conceded so many goals because of his shall I Sharnt I decision making.

That's exactly how I see it. Has got zero b*llocks, doesn't look like he wants to be there, shoulders hunched over all the time. The ability that he has is wasted on someone with such little about him.
Verdict =w*nker.

Sorry the incident in the first half where a ball into the box for our keeper to catch wasn't even claimed as DD left it for him, sums up how poor Hennessey is right now.
Agreed we need a dominant/angry centre half and a Wanyama type in midfield and we may need to take a risk on a championship player or unknown foreigner, cos attracting someone to a relegation fight won't be easy.
Last season Leicester proved that value and excellence was out there if you look beyond the sexy big names, with Kanté.
That's been our downfall trying to go all big and sexy at the expense of our squad and work ethic
.

Good point. Certainly need some grafters presently. 5 or more players in the current side need to improve their work ethic, concentration, team work, fitness, game thinking. If not we will go over the cliff to the Championship. If we do avoid this I believe Allardyce will look for these type of players and may well be doing it now.

Classic!

I appreciate all your opinions about Jules...but he is an incredible shot stopper.

I wonder how many less goals we would have conceded with him between the sticks?

WH has cost us many games due to his poor decisions....something that Jules eradicated from his game during the first few years with us.

At the moment, would putting Jules back in goal really be that drastic?

If he's good enough for the bench, he's good enough.

I like that big Sam called out that Wayne Hennessey was a fault in the after match interview. He can see his obvious limitations unlike Pardew seemed to be able to.

I've been a strong critic of Hennesey's since he got the no. 1 position. At best he is a back up and it's definitely time to regain his place on the bench.

Sam has to make a decision, get a competent keeper, whether it be a new acquisition or Speroni.

I can't remember such a period where there has been constant criticism of goalkeeper.

Agreed..,Hennesey is a championship goalkeeper and no more. A few outstanding saves, but too many woeful decisions. I believe the defence have no confidence in him. Sam is not stupid....he knows..

To be fair pardew tried to fix the problem by bringing in mandanda so he wasn't oblivious to it. People's memories are very short on here, in the weeks approaching this match Hennessy has been one of the only players on the pitch performing, making some fantastic saves. Yesterday he was crapola but like others have said, it can't be easy with our defence in front of him. Not sure jules is the answer to be honest. Wait until mandanda comes back and give him another go, even if he does seem like a bit of a moany Frenchmen
