Agreed Rudi cyclical and Salako,s fault.
Plus something must have happened behind the scenes at West Ham last night they got thrashed.

I was embarrassed to witness that first half effort or non existent effort on Tuesday. What rubbish Allardyce talking about fatigue, lack of interest more like. On the same night Arsenal were 3-0 down with about 20 mins left, and with their 'fatigue' managed to pull the game back 3-3.
We are not fit enough - it's glaringly obvious.
What was the manager doing slouched in his seat for 80% of the match, for gods sake he's supposed to be employed on loads -a- money, to keep us up, I thought Millen had been promoted to gaffer !!
Please please Allardyce, stop our players keep playing the ball sideways or backwards it's driving us all mad.
I just wonder whether something happened at the club end of 2015, when this terrible form started, behind the scenes ??
And what was that all about Salako getting fired.

Yes it was bad certainly lack of effort from the team overall last Tuesday. However bit early to lay the blame on SA when he has only been here a fortnight!
SA will have been looking at what he can work on and with whom he can work with.
Hopefully with one or two additions in January we might be able to play slightly more positively without the aimless hoofballs and last ditch diagonal longballs upfield.
Same as the players overall fitness levels, if they are poor they can be improved but not with a magic wand! Best way forward for the squad is positivity, confidence and total support from us the fans. But it ain't going to happen overnight!

At least we didn't lose 0-5 like Wet Spam last night when supporters give them nigh on zero support at all, mostly choosing to walk out during the second half from their soul less new stadium!

More or less every small-medium sized club struggles at one point or another in the Premier League.

Here are a few I can think of in recent memory and all are our size or bigger;

Norwich, Swansea, Boro, Derby, Reading, West Brom, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Burnley, Birmingham City, Cardiff...

Then much bigger clubs who have had a challenging season or two in the Prem;

Leeds, Villa, Newcastle, Everton, West Ham...

Bottom line; did anyone really think that we would cruise along in the top 10 forever? Football for our sort of club is very cyclical.

Just had exactly this conversation with a Birmingham City-supporting mate of mine. He said that when they beat Arsenal to win the League Cup that was a good as it gets for a club of their size. Its the same for us now. I gave my son the season review DVD of last season for his birthday the other day. We reached the cup final, won at White Hart Lane, Anfield and Stamford. Now we may be heading for relegation again. Sadly in the future we may look back on the last four seasons as among the best in our history.
