I don't get BS claim of player fatigue altho 2 games in 3 days is ridiculous. Arsenal still trying to win after 90 minutes and being 3 down at Bournemouth. Should have chosen China BS.

As for Arsenal, they're in a different class altogether to us, with considerably more strength in depth.

I agree about him coming in just to keep us up - I don't see him as the sort of manager to take the club forwards.

Because the reality is that we are in deep s***. Under performing players. Players injured. Losing players to tournaments, no sign of a player coming in. The window is open. A new left back has been the priority since September. One should have been lined up and completed by 2nd January and in the meantime another 3 points have disappeared. Edited by Stuart Shave (04 Jan 2017 12.02pm) Lets not get too carried away just yet. Three games in quick succession. Arsenal we weren't that bad, Watford we were pretty good, as we were against Chelsea and Man Utd and City before that. I think we need to see how we perform when the players aren't pushed to the limits, in a team that couldn't rotate its players.

Apologies for the negativity, but last night was the final straw. I have sympathy for the fact that our injury list has been horrific for the last 12 months and still it continues with Dann and Benteke. We simply do not have the resources to replace quality with quality during injuries and suspensions. But since the Americans have come on board, we concentrated on reaching a Cup Final - probably for PR purposes, and have spent money on players like Benteke who are to big for a club like Palace - interested in the money, but not playing for Crystal Palace. Marquee signings just do not work for clubs like Crystal Palace. Players who want to do well and get better are players that work. We have taken our eye off the ball. I can understand the investment was needed to improve the club, but not at the expense of running a tight ship which is what SP did. He is now just simply the mouth piece for the Americans. I have no doubt that he didn't fire Pardew and have no doubt he didn't hire Allardyce. We're a lost club and I don't blame anyone other than the club in general for letting the Americans in and the razzmatazz that comes with that. All this nonsense that we've been 'Pardewed' is nothing but that. Despite what anybody says, Pardew is a good manager and I believe would have turned it around once the injuries got better. We were ticking along nicely before the Americans came along and the injuries occurred. Allardyce is a short term fix to keep us 17th, and even that is looking unlikely at the moment. Just a mess, and if we do go down, there is just not many at the club I would keep. Sadly the PL brings nothing but problems for clubs like Palace because the amount of money that comes with it. Just a horrible and disgusting league. Jesus Christ. What a melt, and a vivid imagine too. We're in the sh!t yes and the players are under-performing but we have a transfer window, 18 games and a manager that's never been relegated (so I'm told). And despite being the worst team in 2016 in the entire EFL - and probably the professional leagues in Europe - we're still not in the relegation zone....work that one out. Strap on a pair and ride it out.

I do agree with that! Our full back situation is dire, lets face it: the worst in the whole league. Its not just Cabaye, Townsend en Punch underperforming. Our defense is shambles, and for the money we paid for Tomkins you could have gambled on three young lower League or foreign center backs to come through. Ditto for Towsend really, where it beckons believe the t*** thinks he has the right to claim the right. Experience is overrated! Dare to get some youth players and unknown names in. He has a point, no reason why the game couldn't of been played on Wednesday. Playing against Arsenal is physically demanding, chasing all their pretty passing, this is generally accepted by pundits. Arsenal have a far bigger squad and can rotate players easier than we can. If BS is greedy and corrupt as people claim he is, he would of been straight to China with vast amounts being offered. It is claimed he turned them down, why?
