i was thinking today we should rest players but actually cant think of how to make a team with all the players out something like,

speroni,
kelly, delaney, phillips, (fryers if fit or kid?) ward
flamini, mutch, drehyr (spelling where has he gone?)
kai kai, chungy
campbell (appiah)

Hennessy, tomkins,Cabaye, townsend, ledley, puncheon, appiah (is he fit) wan bissika (spelling)

kids to give a chance left out randal williams, coker, wynter, hussain no one else ive seen even close to getting a chance not that these really are

im struggling to create a side tho and not just burn out the first team leaving, mcarthur, C benteke, J Benteke, Remy, dann, zaha, sako, papa,

its looking very bad if we go with our best team we could make still think its pretty weak prem side.

its looking very bleak i must say

SA won't want to lose to the team where he made his name. Having said that, I hope Kaikai plays. Also, where's Dreher gone? He looked good pre-season but seems to have disappeared.

I don’t think SA is bothered about the cup so will rest players and give others a chance. He may even have his fingers crossed for a loss giving the team a week of for the 4th round so the team can go and do some warm weather training.

SA will probably rest a few but I can't believe he wouldn't want to win. Any win after the pathetic effort of last night could only do us good. Speroni will no doubt will get a start along with Lee, Fryers (if fit), Kaikai, Campbell and probably Mutch. Bolton boss Parkinson was an observer of last night debacle, I'm sure he'll fancy's his side's chances!
Bookies have us as a 50% chance of winning and Bolton at 25%, however the computers tip a draw at 50% but has Bolton as very slight favorites over us.

I am always a "Don't need a cup run" fan, but seriously this squad, confidence wise is so fragile we cannot possible lose this game, IMO.

'Fit' we ain't and I can't see that putting our feet up for a fortnight will address that. The number of injuries is partly a symptom of our lack of fitness. SA needs to work with the squad and get them playing his way and a cup game, the outcome of which is unimportant, is an ideal opportunity to put some of his plans into action.

Where'dya hear this?

I completely agree about fitness. How many goals have we conceded either late in games or just before half time? And how many of those could reasonably be thought of as being moments when fatigued players lost concentration for a moment? Let me tell you: f***loads.

As for notlob, I just worry how utterly thin the first team is. We shouldn't risk any player who's not absolutely 100% fit...aka the entire 1st team lol

Interesting article in Bolton News about our likely side for the Cup

"CHUNG-YONG Lee could be in line for a rare Crystal Palace start this weekend as he returns to Wanderers for the first time.

A perennial substitute since leaving the Macron in January 2015, the South Korea star is likely to be one of a handful of fringe players given a chance by Sam Allardyce on Saturday.

Wayne Routledge, Joe Ledley, James McArthur and James Tomkins will also come into play from the team beaten 2-1 at home by Swansea on Tuesday night."

Do they know something about a new signing that we don't know about

Speroni must start, along with the young lads who've recently been making the bench. We also need to protect key players given our injuries and only look to play returning key players. If we can, we should also try out any potential youth defenders (either from the bench or start).

FA Cup this year isn't important - We need to go Warnock on it, like when he played virtually a youth team for us.

Pretty much agree - though I'd consider resting ward if we can sign a left back by then, or have one waiting to come through. I'd probably rest Flamini too as he's been exceptional for us in the few games he's played recently.

Of the 37 we've conceded, 10 have been in the last 10 mins of the first half, and 9 in the last 10 mins of the second. We also have the equal-worst injury list of all the PL clubs with 9 currently out.
