It was as bad as Taylor and the few midweek games at home in admin with Paul Hart and only Calvin Andrew available with Alan Lee injured. Calvin trotting to close down the back 4 and orchestrating what the rest of the team should do was a strange sight we had to put up with for too long. Knew we wouldn't get anything then or last night.

I sit in the Lower Holmesdale, and my take on the Delaney incident was that he was reacting to the widespread boos that the whole team were getting.

It didn't appear to be aimed at him personally.

I have to say that in 50 years of going to Selhurst Park, I can't recall a Palace team receiving that amount of hostility from so many people.

And frankly tonight they deserved it. If you can't play creative, attractive football ok - but at least have a scrap - they weren't even up for that.

I will start my 50th Season watching Palace this September, and that first half performance yesterday was up there when we had the likes of Trevor Aylott, Tommy Langley, Calvin Andrew and the like.
The second half was an improvement and on reflection we could have won it.

I do not like booing and have never done so in all my time supporting Palace. It does nothing for the players morale and are you really true supporters when you boo your own team. My 16 year old boy was with me and was very disappointed with some of our supporters attitude. I sit in the family section main stand, and Delaney was clearly indicating that he didn't agree with the booing.

What we all fail to realise is that Pardew has left us in deep S..t. The team as a whole has not been consistent. Pardew's tactics and player selection has been dreadful.

We also have to look at the backroom staff, to me they are also part of the problem. Its no good saying Millin is a nice bloke, for me he is not a number 2 and an average coach. Woodman as a goalkeeping coach looks as though he is being sponsored by Pukka Pies. he was a very average lower division goalkeeper.

Big Sam needs to get his own people in.

There has only been 2 full training sessions due to matches.

Puncheon has been at best, average for the past 9 months. He is not good enough and goes missing in games.
Kelly and Ward are not doing it.

The bench is not strong enough.
I would be playing Flamini.

We are missing one of our best players in Macarthur.

What we need is 2 full backs, priority for a left back. Another centre half. 1, possibly 2 midfielders, one in the Matic mould.

And possibly a forward, although I hear Remy may be back.

As foe the Booing, thats not on. I know we are all entitled to our Opinions but to boo in my Opinion shows a lack of knowledge.

That's the way I saw the boos, unless I missed something it was directed at the whole team and not an individual. Cabaye reacted a bit at full time but there was nothing to it really and I'm sure he heard much worse at Newcastle.

There were a number of reasons for the boos and the s*** performance was undoubtedly the main one. However it was flat before kick off and the Sam's welcome was fairly quiet, as was the singing of Glad All Over so I this wasn't the only reason.

For a lot of people in the ground, this would have been their first day at work and it's not a day you would choose to go and watch football. Then combine that with the terrible seaso, uninspiring performance vs Arsenal and the fact it was freezing. When the game started I think everyone expected us to beat Swansea so when we they started dominating the game a years worth of frustration all came out at once.

The players didn't lack effort but the performance was not good enough. Give Sam some time with the team and the players a chance to recover and it'll be a different experience vs Everton.

I have been watching Palace for over 50 years and totally disagree, last night the players totally deserved to be booed for their 1st half performance not due to lack of knowledge from the supporters but more to do with the total lack of application, desire and effort from the team. It was nothing short of disgraceful

Having said that didn't they get a resounding cheer when they reappeared for the second half!

As for training sessions what do you think Swansea have been doing taking tranquilisers and training at night do fit in extra sessions? They have played the same no of games but still got to the ball quicker, moved faster and won most tackles!

Yes I am sure SA will sort it out but those professional footballers as a team let themselves, the club and supporters down BIG-TIME last night.

I think we really should sell Cabaye if we can get any money for him , even if we can't get as much as we paid for him at least it would get him off the wage bill and allow us to get someone in who may have a positive impact on the team.
We have won four games this season , he did not play in 3 of them , and in in the other we were 2-1 down then he went off and we won 3-2.
Bear this in mind people that thought Pardew was doing a good job as he probably would have played Cabaye in those three games we won without him.if he was available.

I do not think he is good for the team spirit either.
He wasn't helped by Pardew also announcing that he was worth the 80k a week and anyone else wanting that would have to play like him . Then when the other players see a petulant whinger who is an ordinary player it must rankle with them.
Remember our best finish of 10th achieved with the McJedly midfield , then they get this guy who spends most of his time trying to get fouls and staying on the floor whinging when he does not get them instead of getting up and getting on with the job.
He also cannot even foul properly , he gets most of yellows in stupid non important area's of the pitch because he has become frustrated. He does not seem to understand the concept of 'taking on for the team' and hitting people hard when they look threatening and at vital times , like Pogba before he set up the winner for Man U just before end of game , or maybe hassled and snap at Hazard before he instigated the winner for Chelsea just before H/T.
Even when people say he played well it only seems to be for one half or a period of the game , not 90 mins.

Unless Sam thinks he can find a way to get him to play for Palace like the international player he is supposed to be be then it would be best for him to go.

The p*ssed up 'fan' was trying to get at Cabaye, calling him a French c*nt and a f*cking w*nker. Mate wads sat a couple of rows behind him and said he was acting the bellend all night.

Absolute madness. Cabaye was one of our better players last night. Apart from a few stray passes he was one of the few players with any energy or hunger. If we want to stay up then selling our best players is not the way to do it. He needs to be a bit more consistent but overall has played well the last couple of months.

What needs addressing is the absolute lack of movement up the top of the pitch. whenever a player got the ball at the back or in front of the back four, he was faced with 6 or 7 statues in front, all marked. We constantly had to pass sideways and backwards due to a lack of options. Swansea on the other hand showed good movement and interplay for most of the game and I thought Llorente looked very good.

Cabaye IMO has not played well in the last couple of months.
He gave away a needless free kick that led to the first goal.
Sam might decide to sell him .
Not really doing it for Palace.

Very well said Buzzby. Personally i would consider selling Townsend, Puncheon and Benteke (£40 million from China is too much to turn down) and use the funds to purchase another striker, left back, centre back and, if there's anything left, a defensive midfielder.
